Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
This is a delicious recipe for Easter. I made it exactly as directed but added in salt and pepper because I think it needed it. I baked it for 1 hour and 10 minutes because I like my corn pudding less pudding like and more like cornbread. It was golden brown on top and not jiggly when done enough for me. This is a great recipe for potlucks and one I will make often.

Grilled Chicken Wings with Sweet Red Chili and Peach Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
Delicious! I used grilled boneless, skinless chicken breasts for this recipe since we don't eat wings. I used apricot-pineapple preserves because its all my local store had in stock. It turned out great and I loved the pineapple flavor added. The lime juice and cilantro is what make this recipe great. This is a recipe we will make again and again.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Great recipe! I've never made my own granola before and thought why not since it is probably so much cheaper to make than store bought. I customized this recipe based on what I had in the house. I used pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds for the nut combo. I increased the honey just a bit since I didn't have maple syrup. I added in flaked coconut about 10 minutes before this was done. I baked this at 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Thank you for a great granola recipe!

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Another great bread recipe! I added one tablespoon of flour since it had been raining here for days and it was very humid. I didn't separate the dough since I wanted one large loaf. The dough turned out beautiful and soft with great flavor.

Cranberry Streusel Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This bread is delicious and made my home smell like it was Christmas when it was baking. The combination of cranberries, orange zest/juice, spices and pecans makes this spectacular. I would add more cranberries next time since they are very sparse throughout the bread. That might make it more wet though so I would have to test it out. I left out the raisins for personal preference. Great bread I will most definitely make again.

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
Delicious recipe! Make sure to cut your potatoes in small chunks because mine took too long to get done and the other ingredients were overcooked by then. 2 inch thick slices was too big for mine to get done in that time frame. Great tasting dish that pleases everyone.

Doubly Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
This cookie has fantastic peanut butter flavor but unfortunately they're too sweet for me. If I make this recipe again I will have to reduce the white and brown sugars by 1/4 cup each to make this edible for me. I don't like cookies that are overly sweet. I used Simply Jif Peanut Butter as well which is lower in sugar and sodium. As I said, great peanut butter flavor but too sweet as is for me to make again per the recipe.

Seven Grain Bread II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
Delicious healthy bread. I used all milk instead of water in this since I don't keep dry milk powder on hand. The bread tastes like one of the expensive health nut loaves. I think it would be great with sunflower seeds added in too. Thanks for a great bread recipe!

Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
Very good! I doubled the sauce since we were having it with orzo. I like the sweet and tangy flavor of the sauce. A good easy recipe and one that I will make again.

Coconut Joy Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
Spectacular cookies! If you love the combination of chocolate and coconut you must try these cookies. I followed the recipe exactly and mine were done at 8 minutes in my convection oven. I liked that these didn't spread much so I could load up the cookie sheets. I ended up with 30 cookies using my tablespoon cookie scoop. This really is a wonderful cookie and one I will make many times. Thank you for the recipe CookinBug.

Onions Baked with Rosemary and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
These turned out fantastic. I didn't leave the peel on the onions and followed the rest of the recipe as is. They turned out tender and juicy.

Indian Chicken Curry (Murgh Kari)

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This turned out very tasty! I didn't use 1/2 cup oil and instead used only a few tablespoons which was all that was needed. I loved the flavor that the yogurt lended to the dish. Thanks for an easy Indian recipe!

Alabama Fire Crackers

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Woo hoo these are spicy! I love spicy foods but these may be a little hot for me. I used saltine crackers and used less oil (1/2 cup) and the full amount of the spices. I enjoyed the taste of the ranch dressing mix and the other spices and will probably decrease the amount of red pepper flakes next time. These are great crackers and a snack I will make again.

Southern as You Can Get Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Delicious recipe for collards that I have to have on New Year's Day with ham and black eyed peas. I followed the recipe exactly but decreased the water because I didn't want that much liquid. I cooked the ham hocks for an hour in the broth prior to adding the collards. I added a few dashes of red pepper flakes and a few tablespoons of sugar at the end to cut the bitterness. Thanks for this great recipe!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
Great ham that was juicy and fall apart tender! I used a 6.5 pound smoked butt ham. Since I didn't have 8 hours for this recipe I put it on high for 2 hours and 3 hours on low and it was done. I used one 6 oz can pineapple juice, the brown sugar called for and a few dashes of cloves since I have to have that with ham. It was delicious and one I will make again.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
What a wonderful recipe! I added chopped onion while the orzo was browning but only because it needed to be used. We thoroughly enjoyed this recipe and I will definitely make it again and again.

Biscotti Toscani

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I love the flavor of these biscotti but several of mine broke when slicing. I followed the recipe exactly and followed the cooking times. Once cooled and when slicing several of these broke apart. That doesn't matter as far as taste is concerned because these taste fantastic. If these hadn't broke it would be a 5 star recipe.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I don't know why these cookies got bad reviews because I thought they were wonderful. I didn't have cakey cookies like some others did and mine didn't stay in balls. My cookies spread just a bit and mine were done at 8 minutes in my convection oven. These cookies were everything you want in a chocolate chip cookie: soft and chewy inside with crispy edges.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I loved this and it is way better than canned sauce. I used a navel orange rather than the orange juice. Since we wanted a smooth sauce I pureed this in the blender and strained the sauce to remove the seeds. It tastes wonderful and I love the combination of orange and cranberry. I will never buy canned sauce again when homemade is this easy!

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
Delicious bread! I doubled the filling recipe because I wanted it extra cinnamon-y and it was great. This would be great with a powdered sugar glaze over the top after baking. This would be a nice bread to give as thank you gifts or during the holidays. Thanks for another great bread recipe!
