Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
This is wonderful bread! I didn't make any changes to it and it turned out great. Used it today to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Thanks for this exceptional recipe.

Creamy Chipotle Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
This was surprisingly good! I reduced the chipotle peppers to 2 to try it out and next time I will use 3 because we like spicy food. I had no problems with the cream cheese clumps as others did and I threw everything in the crock pot (1 hour on high, 3 on low) and it was done. So good served over yellow rice.

Pumpkin Pie Spice II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This is such a great recipe to have on hand. I don't buy pumpkin pie spice and I needed it for a recipe and was glad to find it here. Thanks for this recipe that saved me from going to the store!

Whole Wheat Pumpkin-Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
These muffins were good but not great. According to reviews it seems like these are better the next day so I will wait to see tomorrow if these improve. I couldn't really taste anything in these so the spices need to be increased. I used home made chunky applesauce and followed the rest of the recipe as written. These are good but could be better with tweaks I guess.

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This was an easy, tasty recipe. I didn't use canned enchilada sauce but instead used the recipe from here for "Mrs. Espy's Enchilada Sauce" and followed the rest of the recipe from there. Mine had good flavor and I think it depends on the enchilada sauce you use. I did end up using more corn tortillas. Thanks for this easy recipe.

Mrs Espy's Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I enjoyed the flavor of this sauce with additions. I like onion and garlic in mine so I stirred in chopped onion and garlic in with the spices and cooked them in the oil. I added a touch more tomato sauce and cumin to taste. I also used chicken broth in place of the water as other reviewers suggested. This sauce has a nice, silky texture.

These pancakes turned out light and fluffy. They had a wonderful flavor and texture. I didn't change a thing. Umm umm good.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made these today for our traditional New Year's Day dinner with collard greens. I left out the peppers since I didn't have them and added a few red pepper flakes for the jalapeno. Mine were done in about 6 hours and I didn't soak them ahead of time. I like the ease of preparation of these and the taste was good.

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made these to go with our blackeye peas, ham and cornbread today. These couldn't have been easier or more flavorful. Great tasting and easy recipe. Thanks!

Comforting Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
I would rate this 4.5 stars if I could. I did have to make some changes to this for personal taste. It was bland as is so I had to add in garlic with the onion and pepper and added in garlic and onion powder. With the additions it turned out great.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
This is a five star bread! The crust is extremely tasty and the interior is wonderful. I used this bread for sandwiches and to make dressing/stuffing for Christmas. I am making my third loaf of this in a week. I did add additional salt as other reviews recommended.

The Best Bacon-Tomato Dip

This dip is good but needs a little tweaking to make it better. I used green onions, added more bacon, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This recipe was wonderful. I did use graham crackers as some others did just because I had them. I cooked this on the stove top rather than the microwave since my microwave is unpredictable. Then I only had to cook it for 10 minutes in the oven. I left off the chocolate chips and it tasted great without them.

Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
This was the easiest, tastiest fudge I've made. The only hard part was finding enough white chocolate. My only advice is that I let mine chill too long and some of it broke and cracked when I cut it. It was much easier to cut when it wasn't rock hard and cold straight from the fridge. Very good recipe.

No-Knead Artisan Style Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This bread has a great flavor, however, I cooked mine in a cast iron dutch oven as directed and it tasted too smoky for me because the cast iron was too hot after preheating that long. Nex time I think I will try baking it on my pizza stone and see if it works better. It is an incredibly easy recipe and one worth trying again. I just want to bake it in a different manner next time.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
These brownies were wonderful. I'm only reviewing the brownie recipe since I didn't use the frosting. I followed the recipe exactly and stirred this in the same pan with a wooden spoon without beating it and my brownies came out very fudgy. Thanks for an easy, go-to brownie recipe.

Good 100% Whole Wheat Bread

This is my favorite wheat bread I've made from this site so far. I didn't make any changes to it and it turned out great. This will be my go to bread for sandwiches from now on.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
This is a delicious bowl of wonderful goodness! I did make a few changes to the recipe but only for my personal preference. I don't like overly sweet things so I decreased the sugar to 2 cups per other reviews, doubled the cocoa and added a pinch of salt. I had no problems with crystallization since I stirred it during the entire boiling process and didn't need to blend it after. This is a great hot fudge sauce that you can adapt to your personal tastes and make it as sweet or as chocolately as you like. Yum!

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
These were the hit of the party last night. I used one additional egg white since my eggs were small and used vanilla in place of the water. They turned out great.
