Chinese Restaurant Almond Cookies
Very good. Lard may be authentic but crisco made a great cookie. Will use more almond flavoring next time and perhaps ground almonds in the dough. Will also try the tip of making a log and then cutting it. The dough is a bit crumbly for making balls. We also like a bigger cookie came out with 42 cookies that took 30 minutes to bake.

My Crab Cakes
Made this recipe last night. Wonderful!! However, since I was using 1# of backfin crabmeat I used 2 Tbs of mayo and a heaping 1/2 tsp. of Old Bay. Also, as many others used only 4 oz. of Ritz. Used Panko breadcrumbs instead of reg. crumbs. This is definately a keeper. This made 6 good sized cakes.

Make-Believe Middle Eastern Chicken
After reading all the reviews, decided this sounded good. Following the advice of previous reviews doubled the cumin, nutmeg and allspice. All were fresh. Result,very bland. Even added garlic and mint. The ingredients are good. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?
