Tiramisu Bowl

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This was very nice and convenient to make. I used regular instant pudding, as listed. I did use coffee liquer vs. coffee. Dusted top with cocoa powder in addition to chocolate shavings.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
All I can say is, YUM. This has great texture and flavor. I did add 2T butter and 1/4 cup sugar to the crust. The suggestion to leave it in the oven to cool is key to prevent cracking.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
I used pork loin. I would wait to add the BBQ sauce ( I used a homemade version and it watered down too much, in the crockpot).. Very moist, and great for sandwiches.

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Yum! I was very impressed with the outcome, of this recipe. It smelled so good and tasted even better. Next time I will more diligently crumble the beef, and simmer a little longer. I used beef stock (vs.water) and a couple of cubes, also a little extra vinegar.

This is homemade hamburger helper. It was ok for a quick fix. Next time I will just cook the rice in with the other. I also added frozen corn and green beans to the hamburger mixture.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This was THE best..Definetly a favorite. We doubled the filling and the crust, as it did not cover the 9x13 dish. Also- we put the jello mixture in the fridge, for about 25 minutes until it was the right texture.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
I agree that this was a very easy recipe to use with the bread machine. I used 1 1/2 cups water and a little extra salt with the second loaf, as the first was dry and dense....

Black Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
I did this recipe again, but this time I took many suggestions regarding the boiled water to melt the shortening. I used 1 cup milk and one water with 2 T instant coffee, and that made all of the difference. It was delicious and was perfectly level..Also a plus.

This is delicious! We added extra red pepper and one can of diced tomatoes as well as a few T of marinara sauce, but I don't think it needed it.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
These were very good...We added a little bit more salt and spices and used less sugar....I would say next time I will add a little of the spice mix to the seeds at a time until adequately coated...There was too much "mix" for the amount of seeds we had...We will use less sugar in the pan as well.
