Waldorf Turkey Sandwiches

This was pretty good. I did without the cinnamon raisin bread. Next time I will not add the nutmeg because it was too powerful. The ground cinnamon is a perfect touch by itself.

quick, easy and turned out great! I'm not giving it 5 stars because it's high in fat....but def. worth it. I chopped it up and threw it in a salad to make it healthier.

I double the recipe. I use olive oil instead of butter. I added some fresh minced garlic. You can use oregano or basil. Either one taste great!!

Lemon-Garlic Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
I marinated these for 24 hours and baked them on 375 for about 40 minutes. I did not use grated lemon peel and used bottled lemon juice instead. I also added some lemon pepper seasoning in the marinade. They turned out great!! They are much better if you eat it right away, I am not a fan of pork tenderloin leftovers since they are always kind of dry. Great and easy recipe. Thanks!

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
The only thing I did differently was use quick oats instead of rolled oats. I did also cut the recipe in half to make 18 cookies and still ended up with 24 very large cookies. I baked them for 12 minutes. They turned out great!

Mushroom Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
I was out out flour so I skipped the gravy part. I rubbed minced garlic, use 1/4 tsp marjoram for each side of the pork tenderloin, salt and peppered it, and rubbed the lemon juice on the pork and put 2 cans of mushrooms in an over safe dish around the pork and put in the oven for about 40 min on 375. I covered for about 20 min and uncovered for 20. Turned out perfect. It had the perfect marjoram-lemon zing and the mushrooms were great too! Would make again like this or even try the original recipe.

Homemade Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
I just happen to stumble across this recipe because I had fresh tomatoes that I needed to use before they went bad and I sure am glad I found this. I had 3 red vine tomatoes, and I used a 1/2 a can of diced tomatoes w/the juice and added another 1/2 tbsp flour. I also added a can of mushrooms, 2 garlic cloves, and i used 1 tbsp of dry basil. Fabulous!! Had it with lean hot italian sausage links and garlic bread. Next time I would double the recipe for leftovers. This only fed 2 people. This was super good!! BF said before trying it "this is not enough sauce" I said, "just try it". Come to find out he was amazed with it and said it was the perfect amount of sauce and has requested me to make this more often! Def. a keeper!!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
This one is pretty good. I find that a pound of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 1 pound of candy quick chocolate and chopped walnuts make an excellet toffee too. Use two greased flat baking pans. I like my toffee thinner, not too thick. Def. use the water test..once it carmalizes drop a piece of toffee in a small cup of ice water and do the taste test. Make sure not too cook it too long otherwise it will burn. Layer both sides of the toffee with chocolate and walnuts after it hardens. and break into pieces.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
This was really good. Next time I will double the water and beef broth since the next day there was hardly any broth it was more like stew instead of soup. Otherwise it was great! I did like other reviewers and threw everything in the crock pot.

Shepherd's Pie VI

This was pretty good. I didn't have potatoes so instead I used instant potatoes and I also added corn & a veggie mix with greenbeans, carrots, & potatoes & lima beans. I also cooked mine for 25 minutes then put in the broiler for about 3 minutes until golden brown & crisp. I like the top crisp and when using instant potatoes you need the extra help of the broiler. Will make again! Thanks!

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly. Next time I will make sure not to put the spices on the meat like that..perhaps just mix everything in the crock pot Too much stuff and they cooked as a layer on the meat that didn't taste great. I will also cook for less time. 8 hours on low was overdone for my crockpot.

Artichokes

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
I agree with others...recipe should include a dippin sauce. I melted butter added lemon pepper seasoning and a splash of lemon. Sure makes a fabulous dipping sauce. I also used 4 garlic and extra buter to stuff the artichokes with.
