About this Cook
That luia turkey amuses me. :)
My favorite things to cook
changes all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There really isnt family cooking traditions, no one really enjoys cooking, except me and my Grandmother.- she bakes allot of cookie.
My cooking triumphs
I always enjoyed eating the food I made. BUt I didnt know I was pretty good at cooking until I brought a apple pie, pumpkin pie, and 2 diffrent types of corn bread.. to a thanksgiving one year at my grandmothers...(all complelty from scratch) family and family freinds raved and perferred mine over my grandmothers - and she is an excellent baker. so as soon as I got the grandma seal of approval, I knew for sure, I was good. :)
My cooking tragedies
I used to cook breaded chicken with oil before I found it you were supossed to use eggs. HUGE differance. :)

Jam Thumbprints
i am not a great baker, so i think that is why i didnt end up enjoying these. they were too salty for my tatse- i could of added in more salt then was called for by mistake, though my boyfreinds mother ate them all up and said they were delicious! and asked me to bake her some more. so thats why i give them a 4 star instead of a 5.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken
the only thing i changed was, instead of brushing on sauce every 10 minutes, i just threw the whole saice mixture in teh baking dish with the chicken- also marinated it for 20 minutes prior to cooking. came out great, everyone loved it. i also added broccoli- just washed and threw them in there too. tasted wonderful, felt like i was at a reasturant. family members who dont even like Asian food, loved this teriyaki chicken. (i have been craving it all week now!) will definitlyy be making lots more in teh future!
