Cranberry Nut Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
These were EXCELLENT. Not too sweet or too tart. I followed the recipe exactly - except I added a little extra almond extract (accidently) and extra walnuts (on purpose). Thanks!

Low Sugar Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
Very easy and very tasty. I used a bag of frozen mixed berries and a few extra frozen blueberries in place of the strawberries.

Added green and red bell pepper slices, and a few sliced mushrooms. Used more balsamic and spices to compensate. AMAZING!!!

Honey Oatmeal Cookies

I just made these and they turned out quite good. I did add raisens, walnuts, and cinnamon. I wanted a recipe that didn't call for any refined sugar, and I'm glad I found this one.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
These were incredibly tasty. Used Balsamic Vinegar instead of the white wine vinegar, and doubled the sauce. Otherwise followed the directions, and will certainly make this again. Mmmmmm.......

Sesame Green Beans

This went over very well at a recent family gathering. Didn't have chicken broth so just used water and it still turned out great.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
Didn't use bay leaves, still turned out great. Adding milk before eating it is key. I froze the leftover portions and it was just as good.

Very good texture. Used boneless skinless breasts cut up a little, and it worked great.

Very tasty. I used 1 cup white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, more cinnamon than was called for, and added raisens to some of them. Will certainly make again.

Chicken Flautas

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Very good. We just microwaved the tortillas for a few seconds to soften them up, instead of frying them at all, and it tased great (and saved on fat/calorie content).

Love these! Best right out of the oven, but still good the following day. (Mine didn't last any longer than that.)

Oatmeal Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
These were wonderful - I've finally found my go-to-recipe for waffles. The only thing I changed was sub. 1/2 cup whole wheat flour for 1/2 cup of the all-purpose (just enough to be a little healthier but not enough for my picky eater to notice). And a little extra cinnamon because I love it.

Freestyle Apple Tart

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
Very easy, very tasty. I didn't bother peeling the apples and followed the recipe exactly...except I didn't bother putting any cool whip on top because it was great as is.
