Caramel Apple Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
yum. under 5 ingredients and fast! so delicious! my mix is chilling in the fridge right now. this is so versatile! this recipe has earned a spot in my own book! thanks! i hate buying prepackaged items, and with this being so simple and easy, why not make your own?! WOW! bananas are THE BEST to be dipped in my opinion. next time i'm going to use fat free cream cheese instead of the 1/3 less fat to save even more calories! this will be used OFTEN!!!! UPDATE: i used the fat free cream cheese, and it turned out very runny!!! i will stick with at least the 1/3 fat. still a great consistency without full fat!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
these are easy and quick. after reading reviews i decided to put the pecan on top of the rolo and pop it all in the oven. well i won't do that again. the chocolate melted quickly on the top which caused the pecan to slowly slide off. i had to re-assemble all pecans after taking them out of the oven. next time i will toast the pecans and wait till the pan comes out of the oven. but still delicious! a keeper!

wow. the filling in this pot pie is the most flavorful chicken pot pie i've ever eaten. i only liked frozen marie callendar pot pies, but this one is even better! sometimes i just prepare the filling and serve it over rice or pasta. delicious!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
wow. this recipe is a keeper! so simple and quick and quite flavorful! the only change i make was to add a little minced garlic to the sizzling onions. i served this with whole wheat linguine and was asked to make it again two days later.

this was super simple and tasty! i didn't have plain onion soup mix, so i just seasoned the pork chops with some mc cormick onion and garlic seasoning. served over brown rice. super simple and quick way to have a slight twist on a sweet and sour dish!

YUM! so much better than prepackaged salad! i don't even like macaroni salad, but i couldn't stop eating this! the 5 star review is after i followed the advice of other reviewers and added only 2 T. sugar, and it was STILL sweet! i didn't add the pepper because i just don't like them and it was still delicious! made it into my own recipes! thanks!

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
After being treated to this dish a few times by a very generous co-worker bringing it in to celebrate various events, I finally made one myself and DARN IT, it is SO EASY and delicious. Jimmy Dean has a bag of pre-cooked, pre-crumbled sausage bits which cuts down on the preparation even more so (and cuts down on the dishes!). I didn't even cube the bread, I just layered it on the bottom, no difference! Next time I'm definitely trying nicely seasoned croutons (Texas Toast brand are AMAZING!) and maybe changing up the meat/cheese combo. Thank you LISAJANI for this one! =D

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
i chose this recipe because i had a white cake mix begging to be used. so obviously, i omitted the yellow mix. i used fresh pineapple, which now that i've tasted it, probably wouldn't make a difference if you used canned, but i just LOVE fresh! i also put the cherries in the pineapple in one pan, and followed the recipes instructions on the other pan, and either way is good. the best thing about this recipe is the size!!!! i think the size is perfect for pineapple upside down cakes. prefect individual sizes, everyone gets some pineapple and a cherry. it was a very forgiving recipe. this has made my own recipe book and will be making it several times in the future! took the other posters advice about rum for my alcoholic friends, but i just poured some captain morgan over the chilled cakes and let it soak in. many compliments!

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
this recipe is really flexible, which is why i love it. i made this for a halloween office party. i altered the ingredients as follows: 6 oz. softened cream cheese (i found pumpkin spice flavor), 29 oz. can of pumpkin, 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, 5 oz. sugar free vanilla pudding, 8oz. thawed fat free cool whip. i served the dip in a FROZEN hollowed out pumpkin with ginger snaps, vanilla wafers and cinnamon graham crackers (in order of popularity). the pumpkin was cleaned out and i had tons of recipe requests. had a treat for myself when i got home, a frozen gingersnap pumpkin spice "ice cream" sandwich! much better than graham crackers, which tend to get soggy for me. the gingersnap still had some crispness to it. YUM. thanks for this one!
