Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2015
This was delicious and very easy. I made the recipe as written but ended up making 1 minor change before adding the cheese. After mixing it all, I added more bread crumbs by sight (maybe 1/2-1 cup) bbecause it wasn't holding together. After that, it all came out beautifully. I put a cookie sheet under it, after reading othere reviews where there were issues with cheese bubble over, but I didn't have any problems with that at all. Maybe the extra bread crumbs helped? Regardless, the taste wasrich and cheesy, just a little something fun and different, but definitely worth a shot.

Slow Drunk Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2015
This one is a good base, but it's a little bland. The orange was a nice twist instead of traditional lemon, but we didn't get any of the beer flavor (I used Sam Adams Boston Lager). The veggies didn't have much flavor and the chicken could definitely use more than just salt and pepper.

Sweet Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2015
I loved the flavor this had! I was a little hesitant about the chai concentrate, but it added a good spiciness to the sweet. I believe I made a mistake with the meat, though. I couldn't find anything labled picnic ham, and after researching on my phone mid-grocery, it seemed like it was just a pork shoulder. I'm going to try this again with an actual smoked ham, I think the flavor should be fantastic, but it was delicious as a roast. Just make sure you add 3-4 hours for the cooking time if you try it my way.

Stuffed Eggplant

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2015
I enjoyed this quite a bit, it was very filling, but there was almost too much stuffing. I added olive oil at the end, due to it being on the dry side, but i think I would have had to add a lot more. The only reason I can think of that made it dry was that I used sweet Italian turkey sausage instead of pork. Next time I'lltry with pork and add some mmushrooms.

This was very easy, and turned out delicious with plenty of leftovers. Definitely a great weeknight meal. Didn't make any changes, it was great as written.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2015
The cilantro gave this a nice twist, and it was a delicious, easy soup. I did serve topped with cheese. The only issue I had was my fault, I wasn'twatching the potatoes closely enough and I overcooked . When I went to puree, the soup came out a little runny. I'll watch more carefully next time, but therewill ddefinitely be a next time.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
This was very good, but it definitely came out much sweeter than I was expecting. Overall I liked the flavor of the wine and chicken, but if I make this again I'll probably cut back on the sugar. There was just something about sweet chicken that just didn't do it for me.

Chickpea Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
This was very tasty, and quick and easy to make. For me personally, I prefer thicker soups. We really enjoyed the flavor, butIi think next time I will probably puree some of the veggies and chickpeas to thicken it just a bit.

Pecan-Crusted Pork with Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
The pecan crusted pork was very popular in my house, and the pumpkin butter was very popular, just not together. The pumpkin butter was delicious warm and we used it every morning for about a week, and the pork was delicious and juicyand the pecans paired so well with it. Will definitely make again, just separately.

Best Ever Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
I made a couple minor changes, but this still came out very tasty. I substituted thawed frozen peas for the green pepper (food allergy) and instead of using regular chicken breast, I used a large bag of Tyson precooked, precut grilled chicken breast strips. My oven was out, but I think I'll probably keep this change just for convenience.

Zucchini Tomato Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
I was surprised by how much I liked this. I'm not normally a fan of tomato based soups, but once I ran my emulsion blender around the pot a couple times, the zucchini really thickened things up without losing the chunkiness and cutting down the tomato flavor just a bit.

Cilantro Chicken Burgers with Avocado

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
We loved this one. It had a good touch of spice to it and I hadn't thought to put avocado on a burger, but the ranch and avocado helped balance the spice out very well. As other reviewers stated, the consistency of these is hoing to be questionable, but just trust and go with it, they hold together well and come out very tasty.

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2014
Very quick and easy to make and very tasty. I had concerns that the sauce wouldn't be thick enough when i poured it from the pan, it was awfully runny, but it thickened right up once it was mixed with the cheese. Definitely a keeper!

Angela's Alfredo Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2014
I really enjoyed this. We started with salad, and it was quick and easy to make. I used about half a pound of cubed ham instead of sliced ham, but it seemed like it turned out really well and made it even quicker.

Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2014
Not bad. Very easy to make, but a little on the bland side for me. Too much pasta, not enough sauce. More sauce may help, but I think the sauce may still be a little bland for the dish.

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2014
Loved this one! My only negative was that it was a touch on the salty side, but that is easily fixed! Quick and delicious, just remember though, your cooking times may vary based on the thickness of your chicken. Mine took much longer than the time recommended, and I covered the skillet for part of that to help keep moist. My other half wanted more sauce, but again, easily fixable. I definitely recommend!

Drunken Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2014
This was quick and easy to make, and it smelled wonderful while it was cooking, but that's where it ended. All we could taste was spice, we didn't get any of the other flavors, and were really diappointed we couldn't get the beer flavor. Definitely will not make again.

Slow Cooker Apple Cider Braised Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2014
This had a very good flavor and cooked up very well. The only issue I had was with the sauce. Even once it was reduced and the butter was added, it never thickened up the way I thought it would. It was too late to try to add cornstarch or flour to thicken it up, but I'd keep an eye on it for next time, and make sure you have thickeners at the ready!
