My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking. Cookies, scones, other quick breads.Yeast breads are a triumph.Sourdough waffles are My favorite. I will try recipes of dishes I have eaten in resturants, Tweek it a little . It often comes out better than the resturant. This is because of the vast amount of knowledge available from allrecipes.com .Appetizers are what My Family enjoys the most. We will celebrate anything with appetizers. Its always enjoyable to have dinner ready in the crockpot when You've had a busy day. It's a little bit if heaven in a cooking vessel just waiting to be eaten.Asian foods are My personal favorite. My friends have been extremely generous in sharring thier tips and recipe adjustments. At Family togethers Our Family jokes that Our menu is very Pacific Rim. It is a small World! Just recently I have begun having fun with cupcakes, decorating in different ways and of course trying new cake recipes. I have experimented with many ways to mold rice crispies and marshmellows. Fun ! It's always
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday time is always the Time We take to pull out all the stops. Baking cookies, quick breads.Packing Up tins of goodies for Family and Friends. The most asked for candy treat is chocolate coated pretzels, and chocolate covered licorice. We Will have Turkey at thanksgiving. My Mom is the best at preparing and roasting turkey. I am so lucky to have so many good cooks in My Family. You don't know what other People make for thier Familys to eat, until You grow up and find out . It can be the best or worst. I was always happy that if the meal wasn't good I could always eat good at Home.
