About this Cook
I have 2 beautiful children, and an amazing husband. I am a stay at home mom, and I like to relax by going on a jog, then coming home to cook/bake!
My favorite things to cook
This always changes for me. I like to take traditional foods and give them my own spin. Making them more healthier. I also like to try new ingredients and dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
So far my favorite cooking traditions are to cook with my 2 year old daughter. She loves to help pour, stir and chop (with my help). I believe cooking with your children will teach them to cook for their families, also teach them how to prepare healthy meals!
My cooking triumphs
I made it through a 6 hour lasagna! It came out wonderful, but my kitchen was a complete disaster=)
My cooking tragedies
I'm able to lite things on fire with out trying...I have lit many cook books on fire, and still I place them by the stove...will I ever learn?

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy
Though the amount of ingredients were right on, the directions are off. They said to bring the candy up to 285. You really need to cook it until 305, stirring constantly. I made 3 batches following the directions exactly, and the toffee always came out chalky. After reading other reviews I found if you cook it until 305, once cooled it will be perfect in color and will have just the right crunchieness:) I also chose to use chopped pecans-next time I would like to try toasting the pecans to give a sweeter taste to them. This recipe is a keeper, but remember to change the temp! Thanks for sharing:) Yummy!!!

Zucchini Herb Casserole
This was a pretty good side dish. I thought it needed a little more rice, so I upped it to 3/4 c. I used EVOO instead of veggie oil, and increased the spices by 1/4-1/2 tea each. Other than that it was a good dish!
