Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2014
I am 49 years old, born and raised in Georgia and about to lose my "southern girl card" because I had never made a peach cobbler. I am SO glad I chose this recipe as my first attempt. So good!!! My picky husband and 20 year old man-child loved it. I made it exactly as instructed, no changes needed for us.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
Loved it! I was very skeptical about the chicken, seasoning and butter alone in the crockpot with no additional moisture...SO glad I followed the directions as written!!! The chicken had an amazing flavor. Wow! Thanks for sharing.

AWESOME!!! I love these little golden nuggets of deep fried YUM!!! These beat any seafood joint around here. Cannot wait to make them again. Knowing our taste for cornbread, I omitted the sugar altogether. Thanks for sharing!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I had to try these, they are so cute! They were a hit at our New Years party. They are a bit labor intensive but worth it for the reaction you will get. I used onion chive cream cheese for the added flavor. Thanks for the recipe.

Baked Onion Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I have been making this recipe for years. I use half low fat mayo and half regular to cut down on the oily texture. I add chives, fresh or dried, for a little color. The first time I made this for my husband he complained bitterly about the smell, now I do not tell him it is ready until it has had time to cool, poor thing burns the roof of his mouth EVERY TIME because he just cannot wait.

Southern Cornbread Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Thanks to this recipe I have been designated as the "bringer of the dressing" by my mother-in-law. I used two large cans of chicken breast, including the liquid, with three cups of canned chicken broth. I upped the onion and celery, one large, sweet onion and six stalks of celery. I baked at 325 for one about 50 minutes. The extra ingredients allowed me to bake my Dad (the dressing nazi) his own small loaf. For my Dad to eat and enjoy any dressing besides my Mom's is AMAZING! Thanks for sharing.

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made this for Christmas morning breakfast, the family enjoyed it very much. I substituted the GM with 1 tsp orange extract and 1 tbls orange juice concentrate giving the desired flavor without the stop at the liquor store. I baked the dish in my stoneware (I love my stoneware) which baked it beautifully and kept it warm. I used 8 pieces of bread instead of 6. I will make this again and again.

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Hands down, my favorite chocolate cake of all time!!! I made this for my wonderful Mother-in-love for her birthday, she loved it, took the rest of the cake home with her. I thought my husband was going to trip her to get it back. I will make him one of his own. Extremely easy to make.
