These were delish! Used 4 cans (4oz dry) crabmeat, 2 eggs, 20 ritz crackers and a little more old bay. Everyone raved about them. Definitely serve with the Garlic Aoili!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Fresh or frozen blueberries both work excellent in this recipe. I've mostly used frozen wild blueberries with about 5 tbsp of cornstarch and the thickness and texture are perfect. Absolutely delicious with a flaky latice-top pie crust.

Classic Stuffed Turkey

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I am only reviewing the stuffing - I brined my turkey and prepared in my usual way. I stuffed the turkey with this stuffing and baked the extra in a casserole dish. The stuffing is perfectly delicious and will now (dare I say) replace Grandma's old savory plain stuffing. I love the addition of the mushrooms and I am NOT a mushroom fan. I chopped the mushrooms to make them less noticable. Everyone loved this stuffing both the "turkey stuffing" and the casserole were gone - I could have easily doubled this recipe to allow for leftovers - it really is THAT good!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
These are amazing! I've made them twice this week - once with frozen blueberries and once with fresh - I will say nothing beats fresh blueberries, but they were delicious either way! I am now deleting all other saved bluebery muffin recipes I have. The only thing I changed/added, was to sprinkle a little crystalized sugar over them before baking - definitely not needed, but I like the fancy sparkly look it creats for presentation :-)

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
These were delicious! I did add a bit of garlic to the oil as it was heating but I'm sure it's not really necessary. Served with rice pilaf and a big greek salad - a perfect spring meal!

Mike's Mushroom Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
YUM! YUM!! YUM!!! This is absolutely amazing. Can definitely sub as a meal on it's own/replace pizza night/ grilled cheese etc... I've made it twice - second time with some chopped red onion because I didn't have any green - we actually liked that taste even better but the original recipe is great just as is!! (no need to saute the mushrooms - they cook just fine as the recipe states). I like to make a garlic butter first and spread this over the hollowed bread and then mix together the mushrooms, onions and cheese and fill the cavity.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
This was fantastic. Like other reviewers, I added a bit of minced garlic (1 clove) when adding the mushrooms. I omitted the sherry (didn't have any) and increased the marsala to 3/4 cup, and added 1/4 cup chicken broth. I also thickened the sauce using about 1/4 cup cream with about a tbstp of cornstarch. Excellent!

Old Fashioned Raisin Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
I'm not a fan of raisin anything so I'm rating this for my mom. Raisin pie is her FAVORITE and I made this just for her. I followed the recipe exactly, but added a little more cinnamon and about a teaspoon of orange zest. She said it was perfect - just the way a raisin pie should be...and then she took the whole thing home!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Perfect balance of tartness and sweetness - a classic lemon meringue pie. I used the juice of 2 lemons and then topped up to 1/2 cup total juice by adding lemon juice concentrate; and zest of one lemon. Everything else I did just as written - except used 6 egg whites for the meringue to make higher and fluffier. Delicious
