They are rather good when they're hot, but when cold I didn't really like the taste of them. Honestly, I think the dough tastes better than the baked biscuits. I definitely have other biscuit recipes that I like much better.

Aunt Teresa's Chicken

Easy, easily modifiable with one's favorite veggies, yummy, and lasts for a couple of days. As a semi-picky grad student on a budget with little spare time, I couldn't ask for more. ;)

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

We make this ALL. THE. TIME. It is quick, easy, and very yummy. And it's easy to make a lot! When the chicken is done we sautee onions in the pan juices, then add chicken broth and flour to make gravy.

Hearty Chicken and Beans

Something just tasted off here. I think the chili beans REALLY don't go with any of the other flavors. I might try it again, substituting black or kidney beans, and see if that makes it better.

Creamy Sweet Potato With Ginger Soup

We really enjoy this soup. We like using fresh ginger for an extra kick! It freezes okay and is easy to make in larger quantities. I have, however, never been able to achieve the "spotty caramel color" in step three. Doesn't seem to matter much; the soup still comes out tasting delicious.

Paula's Polenta with Mushroom Topping

I was surprised someone said the polenta was bland - we found it incredibly peppery. Once I tried that, I cut waaay back on the basil for the vegetables!

Sweet Potato Pancakes

Our pancakes came out soggy and really greasy, and didn't hold together well. It would have been good to have some info as to how long to cook them on each side, and how to tell whether the oil was hot enough. Tasted fine (note: we substituted mustard, cinnamon, cayenne, and cloves for curry powder), but the texture was not great. We won't be trying this recipe again.
