About this Cook
I am a new mommy again, four months along with a happy 5 yr old. I enjoy spending time in the kitchen and cooking new and interesting dishes. From snacks to main course meals, I try to perfect anything I cook. You can usually find me online at AllRecipes or at Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table, learning about the newest kitchen gadgets and must haves. My son is a very pickey eater, so new things are great for him that include noodles and healthy eating. Simple Dinners are put into my recipe box on a regular basis ~ so keep adding chefs, they are much appreciated!
My favorite things to cook
Grilled anything, salads and pasta dishes, sweet ANYTHING!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom made a chicken tater tot casserole that is absolutely to die for, easy and tastey!! I would savor every bite and be the last one at the table!
My cooking triumphs
I havn't done much other than feed the family here.
My cooking tragedies
HA!! LOL ~ I tried to make my mother's Broccoli Cheese Casserole for Thanksgiving one year and the rice wasn't cooked thouroughly. Well, I didn't know that and everyone (About 10 family members and my boyfriend at the time!)was eating and "mmmm, this is good". I took a bite and realized it was terrible and was so embarassed!! Now its a big joke at the holidays, "Did you bring the casserole?!"

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy
Awesome!! I have two boys, (my son and my boyfriend) who HATE mushrooms so I opted those out and I am THE worlds worst at homemade gravies, and this turned out spectacular!! I even got a 'this was awesome' compliment!! Cut the milk to 1 cup and beef broth to 1 cup. Amazing recipe, thanks!
