Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
These cookies were amazing. Very heavy, and definitely need a lot of milk, but everyone in my family loved them. I definitely suggest doubling or even tripling the recipe, because otherwise they'll disappear so fast, you might not get any!

Broccoli, Pepperoni and Three Cheese Calzones

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
These were extremely good. I'm not a big fan of broccoli, so I put in an entire package of the sliced pepperoni (couldn't find any diced, still worked extremely well). They were a little bread-y but so wonderfully tasty.

Dave's Ultimate Guacamole

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
It was good, but I like the bags of guacamole mix much better. I found this recipe too mild, and ended up adding half a jar of salsa. Still very good though.

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I made this over Thanksgiving, and it was a huge hit. I also tweaked the recipe due to lack of time (didn't really measure everything out), and unlike the author suggests, I did use imitation crab. I thought it still tasted great, and so did my family. I used probably close to 1 1/2 cups imitation crab, maybe even 2, that I cut into smaller chunks. I had to use the powdered parmesan, and used what we had left which ended up being close to 2 cups also. The rest was the same, except for maybe using a little more than 1 cup of mayo. My mom suggested a little less parmesan, because her practiced taste buds thought it was a little too salty, but everyone else had no complaints. We heated it up in the microwave for 3 days afterwards and everyone loved it. Would've been best with garlic Ritz, but was wonderful with regular Ritz and Triscuits too! Hope you all love it. I even took a picture and posted it as well.

Herbed Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This was a great recipe. I was looking for something a little meatier and with more chunky tomatos so I changed a few things. I used 2 lbs for ground beef, a little extra garlic and olive oil. Then instead of 2 cans of tomato sauce I used one and 2 (14.5 oz I think?) cans of stewed tomatoes. Everyone liked it, even the picky kids I was serving. I also only simmered it for about a half hour. It was delicious!

Chicken-Fried Steak Strips

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
I actually used the batter on small pieces of chicken in order to try out my deep fryer for the first time. I didn't have paprika, but it was very good. My only complaint was that it could've used more flavor. It was a little boring without something to dip it in. Can't wait to try it on steak!

Spaghetti Pizza I

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
It was good, and looked great, but I think it would've been a lot better with more sauce, and less baking time the first time. But it is definitely something I'd make again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
This recipe was a hit with my whole family! It was my first time making lasagna, so I wasn't really ready for so much work, but it was completely worth it. I doubled the recipe and I did substitute onion powder for the minced onion and garlic powder for the crushed garlic due to an issue with the texture of these ingredients. But it was even good as leftovers!

Two Layer Greek Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
The dip itself was delicious. The tomatoes and black olives were a little too much for me. If it was like half as much it would've been great. I did substitute garlic powder and onion powder, and skipped the cucumbers. Still good! Oh and I couldn't find pita bread rounds for the life of me so I got garlic toasts. Which was good. :)

PHILLY Chicken Alfredo Pesto Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Not my favorite. It definitely needed more flavor and was very runny, so I tried adding a little flour to thicken it up. It was good enough to eat, but not something I'd likely make again.

College Student's Gourmet Pasta

Definitely not enough sauce for my liking. And I tend to like my sauce thick. It was also too garlic-y.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I loved it, but it needed more flavor. I added probably 2 teaspoons of garlic, and people thought it could've used more. But it was definitely a decent dip.

Spinach Artichoke Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
It was pretty good. I generally like my spinach dip with more cream or cheese and less spinach. It was great on chips, and I bet it'd be amazing on bread.

They were definitely decent. But they needed more flavor, some spice or something. But they were something I'd definitely serve again with short notice.

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I was the only one eating and it was gone almost instantly! One of the spices (parsley or oregano) was a little strong for me, but I don't have the skills to recognize which one, so in the future I'd probably experiment with using less of one or both.

Delicious. Tasted like a mango-y margarita almost. A little salty, but once it soaked it up a little, it was amazing!
