Huli Huli Chicken

I made this for Recipe Group on the Buzz for April 6, 2013. I used three chickens quarter and marinated it overnight. I used half of the marinade for the chickens and half reduced it on the stove for sauce. I did not use the sherry but added a little bit of hot sauce. I used 5 cloves of garlic. I also reduced the soy sauce. I served it with white rice and steamed broccoli. I like this recipe and definitely will make it again

LEMON LOAF

Real Strawberry Frosting

WOW they are so good. I usually don’t like frosting but I can eat this with a spoon. I can taste the fresh strawberry. I made half recipe to frosh 12 vanilla cupcakes. This is so easy to make. I followed the exact recipe, no need to change anything, this is PERFECT. Thanks Candice for the recipe.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

This is so good and very easy to make. The first time I made this, I used strawberry jam. I used raspberry jam for the second time. We like the one with raspberry jam better. Mine was brown in 30 minutes. Make sure you spread the jam to within 1/4 inch of the edge to prevent it from sticking to the side of the pan. Warm up the jam so it is easier to spread them.

Key Lime Pie VII

This is so easy to make and it is very good. Thank the reviewer who suggested juicing the limes with a garlic press. I used 22 key limes for the 3/4 cup of the juice. I served them with homemade whipped cream. I used 3 cups of the sweetened condensed milk, which is about 2 1/4 cans. I left out the lime zest because I don't want it too tart. I baked it for 10 minutes.

Jan's Pretzel Dogs

These were so good. I can’t believe I made pretzel for the first time. I dried the pretzels with paper towel before I baked them. Instead of salt, I put cheddar cheese on the top. I also put jalapenos on some of them. I will use canned jalapenos instead of the fresh ones next time; also I will put more salt in the dough if I am not going to put salt on the top. For sure I will make these again. Thanks Jan for the recipe.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

This is the only recipe that I use for vanilla frosting. I only used 1.5 cups of the sugar and about 1 tablespoon of milk. I added the milk in small amount at a time until it reached the thickness of the frosting that I wanted. I always make 1.5 recipes to frost 12 cupcakes.

Sweet Vanilla Cupcakes

My 17 years old daughter made this last night. These are amazing cupcakes. She doubled the recipe and made 25 cupcakes. 24 will be perfect but she made one extra for us to try because she needed to bring 24 to school for Relay for Life (purple ribbons) bake sale . I will be making more of this soon. I agree, this recipe need to be published. Thank You Marianne for the sharing your recipe.

Peanut Butter Snack Cups

I Made these for *Recipe Group* 04-15-12. I made these using mini paper liners. I piped the pudding because I had hard time smoothing the top with the spoon. Messy to eat but it is better if you don’t thaw it so the cool whipped is not melted. I had a lot of leftover of the pudding so I just piped them on to the wafers. The combination of chocolate pudding and peanut butter tasted very good. It reminded me of Reese’s chocolate. May be I will make it into a pie like other reviewer did and just mix all of the cool whipped into the pudding.

Half Time Hoisin Chicken Wings

I used chicken quaters since I didn't have wings. The sauce was perfect amount for 2 pieces of chicken quaters. I brushed the sauce over chicken every 15min. Baked it about 45 minutes until it reached 165F . Serve it with white rice.
