Roasted Garlic Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Simple yet delicious recipe. It took no time to make and the flavor was tremendous. The steak was soft like butter and the flavor was excellent. I even used a very inexpensive cut of meat and it still came out extra tender. Will def make again.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
This was wonderful. I ended up just throwing the bacon in the whole pot of soup and the smokiness was awesome. I had originally made this for my granny after a surgery but we ate so much I had to rush over the final bowl to her before we ate it. She thought that it was wonderful as well. I will def add to the rotation of soups I make when it is cold.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This soup was very good. I made it for my grandmother after she had gotten out of the hospital for surgery and she couldn't get enough of it. I took the advice of others and doubled the cheese and the broccoli. I used half frozen and half fresh as to have big pieces of the broccoli in the soup for presentation and for texture. Anyways, it was awesome and I well def put this in my soup rotation.

Pineapple Lemon Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This is an awesome bakery like dessert. I have made it 2 times and the second time I made it I had forgotten to get lemon jello but I had a tropical jello on hand wc had pineapple.orange, and cherry flavor and it was better than with the lemon jello. I will def try this recipe again and experiment with it bc it def has endless possibilities.

Braised Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This was very good. I did add some rosemary to the spice mixture and I braised the chops in chicken stock and tripled the gravy mix. For the gravy I mixed 1/2 cup of chicken stock with 1/4 cup water and 4 tsp of cornstarch and it tasted perfect. I served over stuffing with the gravy on top along with a salad and steamed corn. I will def make again.

This was deeeelicious. My whole family loved it. Instead of using 2 4oz cans of whole chiles I used 1 4oz can of diced chiles and it was fine. Everything else I left the same. Will def make again.

This is fabulous. I didn't have any sage so I used a blend of savory seasoning. I also added mushrooms, celery, and fresh garlic to the veggies. I also used a blend of red, orange, and yellow mini sweet peppers. I will def use this as my base recipe for all stir fry now. Thank you so much!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Wow! That was the best cheesecake ever. I followed the instructions to a t and it was excellent. As a tips if you coat the chips in a little flour it will cause the chips to not sink to the bottom and to stay evenly distributed throughout the cake.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This is a wonderful and simple recipe. Perfect for a mother of 3 working full time. I followed the advice of a review and used 1 can of soup and half a can of water. I also added simple spices of s&p and I did not brown it as I did not have time. When there was 2 hrs left of cooking time I added potatoes, onion, and carrots and added another layer of s&p. I removed the meat and let it rest covered in aluminum foil and removed the veggies with a slotted spoon. I then poured the juices in a saucepan and then added about 1-2 tbl of cornstarch mixed in cold water and let it boil for a min or so and poured that over the roast. My 8 yr old loved the gravy and kept going on and on about it. Next time if I have more time I will add more spices and maybe try browning it but it was excellent the way it was.

Good, good, good. These tasted as good as my fav burrito from the local authentic mexican restaraunt. I also followed the advice of others and did not put the tomato soup and used more enchilada sauce. I also added sliced black olives and jalapenos. Wonderful.
