Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Wow! That was the best cheesecake ever. I followed the instructions to a t and it was excellent. As a tips if you coat the chips in a little flour it will cause the chips to not sink to the bottom and to stay evenly distributed throughout the cake.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
These fried up nicely. I breaded the night before the superbowl and let them sit in the fridge and then fried them up about 18 hrs later and they looked perfect. They were all gone very quckly and I had tripled the recipe and also had separated the wings in to drummetes as well.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I did not like this recipe at all. It was very bland and just seemed like a bunch of mush. I even added my own spices and still nothing. Sorry, but I will not be making this again :(

Roasted Garlic Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Simple yet delicious recipe. It took no time to make and the flavor was tremendous. The steak was soft like butter and the flavor was excellent. I even used a very inexpensive cut of meat and it still came out extra tender. Will def make again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This is a wonderful and simple recipe. Perfect for a mother of 3 working full time. I followed the advice of a review and used 1 can of soup and half a can of water. I also added simple spices of s&p and I did not brown it as I did not have time. When there was 2 hrs left of cooking time I added potatoes, onion, and carrots and added another layer of s&p. I removed the meat and let it rest covered in aluminum foil and removed the veggies with a slotted spoon. I then poured the juices in a saucepan and then added about 1-2 tbl of cornstarch mixed in cold water and let it boil for a min or so and poured that over the roast. My 8 yr old loved the gravy and kept going on and on about it. Next time if I have more time I will add more spices and maybe try browning it but it was excellent the way it was.

Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
These were pretty good but a little too greasy for me. If I try them again I will cut back on the butter. But I must say that the smell that permeated the house was wonderful.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
Good, good, good. These tasted as good as my fav burrito from the local authentic mexican restaraunt. I also followed the advice of others and did not put the tomato soup and used more enchilada sauce. I also added sliced black olives and jalapenos. Wonderful.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
This was wonderful. The chicken was so moist and tender. I think I will add more spices to it next time. I did let it marinate in the fridge for about 5 hrs before cooking. It was very simple and a good base recipe for many flavors.

Southern Ham and Brown Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
These were pretty good and easy. I added to the spices cumin, coriander, red pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and garlic salt, and a pinch of nutmeg. It still could have used some more heat but with a 3,4, and 8 yr old I was limited. But I did make jalapeno corn bread so that was some more heat for it.

Cornbread Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
These were wonderful. I was making a pot of brown beans and ham and didn't have any cornbread so I hopped on here and found these. They were simple and all the ingredients were on hand. I bakes them in star shaped muffin tins wc made for a pretty presentation. I also used a half a can of corn and added chopped up jalapenos to it. Between the sweetness from the corn and the heat from the peppers it was a mouthful of flavor.

Roasted Red Pepper and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This is one of the best soup recipes ever. I would have liked it to have been a bit more thicker but the taste made up for it. I did not have half and half but i did have heavy cream which may have been a little more fattening but it did the job. I used idaho brown potatoes and added chopped fresh parsley and added a pinch of nutmeg for an added layer of flavoring. My 3 and 4 yr old couldnt get enough of it so that says alot in its self.

This was fabulous. I made one with the hot sauce and one without for the kiddos and both turned out excellent. My husband ate the leftovers the next morning with eggs and said that the steak tasted even better.

This marinade is wonderful. I wanted to have a romantic dinner at home with the hubby and this hit the spot. Just as good as a restaurant steak if not better.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
Awesome. I added 1/4 tsp of marjoram and thyme in addition to the other spices. It came out a little salty so I will just cut back on the salt next time but other than that it was perfect. I served it with ham sandwiches.

They were pretty good. They were a little dry but that was probably bc I forgot about them and left them in the oven a little longer than called for. Still good though.
