Baked Potato Soup

This was wonderful. I ended up just throwing the bacon in the whole pot of soup and the smokiness was awesome. I had originally made this for my granny after a surgery but we ate so much I had to rush over the final bowl to her before we ate it. She thought that it was wonderful as well. I will def add to the rotation of soups I make when it is cold.

Broccoli Crawfish Cheese Soup

This was a very excellent recipe. I substituted shrimp for the crawfish and my 4 yr old son could not get enough. He had me picking out the shrimp bc it was so good. I will def make this again in the winter time.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This soup was very good. I made it for my grandmother after she had gotten out of the hospital for surgery and she couldn't get enough of it. I took the advice of others and doubled the cheese and the broccoli. I used half frozen and half fresh as to have big pieces of the broccoli in the soup for presentation and for texture. Anyways, it was awesome and I well def put this in my soup rotation.

Pineapple Lemon Cheese Pie

This is an awesome bakery like dessert. I have made it 2 times and the second time I made it I had forgotten to get lemon jello but I had a tropical jello on hand wc had pineapple.orange, and cherry flavor and it was better than with the lemon jello. I will def try this recipe again and experiment with it bc it def has endless possibilities.

Braised Pork Chops

This was very good. I did add some rosemary to the spice mixture and I braised the chops in chicken stock and tripled the gravy mix. For the gravy I mixed 1/2 cup of chicken stock with 1/4 cup water and 4 tsp of cornstarch and it tasted perfect. I served over stuffing with the gravy on top along with a salad and steamed corn. I will def make again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

THis was pretty good and easy to make. I marinated the chicken in the sauce for about 4-5 hrs and then put them on the grill still bastong and flipping every 10 min for about 45min to an hr. I would probably make this again.

Baked Havarti Chicken

This was deeeelicious. My whole family loved it. Instead of using 2 4oz cans of whole chiles I used 1 4oz can of diced chiles and it was fine. Everything else I left the same. Will def make again.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

These are wonderful. My 4 yr old requests this all the time so you know its good. I don't use the mayo though. I use 1/2 sourcream and 1/2 crema cheese and keep everything else the same. I cook is covered for 30 min, uncovered for about 10-15 min, and then I broil for about 5-7 min to make the bacon a little more crispy. This def a keeper.

Mexicali Pork Chops

This was really good. I did do a few things diff. I seared the chops on both sides for about 2-3 min each side and then I put them in the oven and baked @ 350 for about 10 min then I pulled out the chops and added shredded taco cheese and sliced scallion and then put them under the broiler for about 2 min. My kids couldnt get enough.

BBQ NY Strip

OMG! This was the best steak I have ever made. I let it marinade for about 3-4 hrs and the flavor was enormous. Next time I make it I am def making extra so as to have leftovers.

Southern Burgers

These are the only way i am going to make burgers now. My 4 yr old ate 2 of them and wanted more! These were the best and the moistest burgers I have ever made. I also added tome steak seasoning like I always do and I used 1/4 cup of bread crumbs and added a little bit of liquid smoke.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Awesome! I didnt have any fresh jalapenos, so I just chopped up some sliced jalapenos from a jar and added a little of the juice to the mix. I also added some dried steak seasoning and garlic powder. My husband loved them.

My Chili

I love this chili with my own revisions. I made mine as follows : I use the 2lbs of ground sirloin, all the spices that the recipe called for plus some cumin,coriander, and a pinch of nutmeg. I add 2 cans of chili ready tomatoes, 1 can of rotel, 1 8oz can of tomatoe sauce, 2 cans of chili beans with the juice and 1 can of ranch style beans with the juice. I throw it all in the crockpot and put it on low all day so at the end of a chilly day at my 2 son's football practice it is nice and warm and ready. I serve it with cornbread and salad and of course toppings for the chili such as sourcream, pepperoncinis, jalapenos, cheese, olives, and tortilla strips.
