Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
Wow. I have been missing out. This is the only way we want to eat our Turkey burgers now. I always make extra cream cheese/jalapeno mixture to put on top too.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
We love this so much. I do use the can of diced tomatoes (the basil oregano can) instead and dried basil because I didn't have real on hand. I also substituted a handful of broccoli, peas, and carrots for the veggies. Next time I will double the turkey sausage.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
We make this all the time. We've made it with ranch and bleu cheese depending on what we had on hand at the time. We now favor bleu cheese in it. I don't use canned chicken. I just chop up whatever leftover chicken we have and throw it in. (Leftover MARINATED chicken is the best! My fave is Pretty Chicken Marinated from this site) We make 1/2 of the recipe in a 8x8 pan and always eat it with tortilla chips!

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
My husband loves this! He asks for Pretty Chicken all the time :) I do add less of the liquid smoke - 2 tablespoons was overpowering. I also throw in some minced garlic. I have left this overnight each time and it's come out fine. I use the leftovers from this to make the Buffalo Chicken Dip from this site. Edit: 12/13/2010 I no longer add the liquid smoke, and I ran out of spicy brown mustard and just use regular, along with vegetable oil and minced garlic and it comes out great every single time. I just dump all of the ingredients in a bag and let it sit overnight and cook it the next day in my cast iron skillet.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I've made these many times now - the first time I used the butter, the second time I switched it out to oil and it came out much better. I couldn't get the topping to come out correctly - but as soon as I dropped my oven temperature to 350 they came out perfect.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I followed Cooking_101's suggestion and put the chicken in the crock pot with some chicken broth, salt and pepper and let that cook on high for 4 hours. We shredded it and put it back in the crockpot mixed with the rest of the ingredients. I added much more BBQ sauce - it tends to soak up quickly.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Used the suggestion of 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar total. Turned out great! Update: made this a few times now, and I used 1/2 cup oil and and 1/2 cup applesauce in place of the 1 cup of oil without noticing any difference.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I followed other user's advice to add buttermilk - while my husband liked them, I thought there was something funny about them. I should have stuck to the recipe but I figured I'd give it a shot with some buttermilk since I never usually have it on hand - or maybe I screwed up the baking powder. I'm not sure.. but I'm going to continue trying this recipe and post back.

Split the recipe in half and it made one mini-muffin pan of mini-cheesecakes (24). I had to skip the vanilla wafers - I love having a graham cracker crust.
