I am 35 years old with 2 children ages 8 and 12. I work part-time occassionally but enjoy being at home as much as possible with my kids. I also have a great fionce' who loves to cook and try new recipes also. we both like variety in our lives.
My favorite things to cook
I love anything different than the same ol' same ol'. Sometimes I surprise the family by having a greek Dinner or french or Italian etc..I love pasta, fish,and seafood. my daughter will eat anything with cheese in it. my son likes pizza and my manaccotti. and my fionce is learning to like fish and veggies. i need some good veggie recipies to try on him. OH! and i love to bake anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I guess i'd have to say my Manoccotti is the most raved about in my home, my kids love it.
My cooking triumphs
I can cook almost anything if given a proper recipe and sometimes if i don't have all the ingredients i learn to tinker with it till my liking.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot make pumpkin pie for some reason? it never comes out right. I recently am able to say I have succeeded in making Pumpkin Pie!

Just made this tonight, I did adjust it a bit though due to what i had on hand. My husband who does not like fish LOVED it! I will definitely make this again. this is what I did. Sprinkled fish with salt & pepper to taste, sprinkled with paprika, and then grated Parmesan cheese. set aside. sauteed Sm.onion(sliced),1 clove garlic (minced), 1 can diced tomato(did not have fresh). spooned this on top of the fish, sprinkled with some cilantro for that extra kick.baked about 20 minutes at 350. Turned out great!

Flavorful Flounder For the Oven
The flavor was fabulous, I can't understand why my Flounder always comes out mushy though. I have tried this 2ce the second time I added 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 1/4 tsp dill weed. even more flavorful! My husband is not a fish eater but he enjoys this!
