Well, I built up to cooking for a family of 10 for a total of 17 years. After that, just me and I don't do as much - quick, natural, whole grain, fresh meals - no processed or ready made. For me, strict user of olive oil, wheat flour, and Splenda.
My favorite things to cook
Cherry Dump Cake, Tuna Patties, Eggs in Tomato Broth, Seven Layer Salad, Best Ever Meatloaf, Lemon Barbecued Meatloaves, Best Ever Baked Chicken, Split Pea Soup, Chicken Stew, Chicken Soup, French Dip Sandwich, Best Ever Sloppy Joes, Mexican Casserole, Potato Cheese Soup, Almond Butter Sticks, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, Everything In It Cookies, and more.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family fruit salad and jellied cranberry sauce with a slather of mayo (Don't knock it until you try it. Lol.)
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for my ex-husband's families - 4 others as well as ours - at Christmas and Thanksgiving - without a hitch. Yes, with homemade mashed potatoes, dressing, rolls, pies, and cookies.
My cooking tragedies
When I was being thrown a baby shower - with twins - I found a recipe for a baked cheesecake. Three times I made it and it wouldn't come out right. I never could figure it out - and I followed it to a T. Lemon of a recipe, I think. Lol.
