Salmon Patties II

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
I was intrigued by how simple this recipe was, and yet had so many stars. I tried it out of curiosity. YUM! This is delicious. The flavor of the salmon really stands out, you don't need anything else. I omitted the egg and they cooked up fine. Give it a try!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This was fabulous and I had to add it to my recipe box! I substituted Italian bread crumbs for plain. To crisp it up, put it under broiler for a moment or two before serving. My husband said this is a keeper! Thanks!

This was good - very tasty as one would expect. I followed the recipe exactly and I don't think it needed anything.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
This was fabulous. I tried it in the crock pot, then the second time I made it, I cooked it on the stove in about an hour. I broiled the 3 chix breasts in the oven using low heat. It took about 45 minutes. I simmered the rest of the ingredients while they cooked. Then I chopped the chicken and added it. Let it simmer a couple minutes and serve. Great!

Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
This was fantastic. Need to thicken in a hurry? Cut up one of the potatoes very small and add to onion butter mixture with a half cup of water. When potato chunks are soft, mash them up into a paste and add 1 T of flour. Mix well and then slowly add 2 c of milk and simmer. This will thicken nicely. Then add other ingredients as indicated. Also, I used milk instead of cream (skim is fine) and roasted chicken breasts cut up. Throw the bay leaf in the whole mixture. Add more milk as needed to desired thickness. EXCELLENT!

Sour Cream Corn Bread

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
I have been looking for this! This recipe is quite versatile. Omit the onion and pimentos and add an extra T of sugar and you have a great sweet cornbread that is moist and delicious! Thanks for this one; it is a keeper!

Gingerbread Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
This was an odd recipe. I could not add enough flour to get it to a "workable" condition. I put them on the cookie sheet like chocolate chip cookies - in globs. It made for a very thick, very dense cookie.

Baked Oatmeal Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This recipe was fantastic! I added a bit more cinnamon and omitted the raisins (didn't have any) but otherwise it was great. I used canola oil (healthier) and I think next time may try it with brown sugar rather than white but will definitely make these again! Super easy, too!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
This was awesome! I fed it to my toughest customers, my dad and my husband, and they both agreed it was the best lasagna they had ever had. I did substitute the cottage cheese with ricotta cheese. I used italian seasoned tomato paste and brown sugar instead of white sugar. I also added ground sage to the hamburger, about a teaspoon full. Definately make this one! I will make this again and again.
