Fresh Spinach Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This dressing is exactly what I was looking for...not too sweet and not too "vinegary". Made for a perfect dinner on a hot, muggy night. Thank you, SUZBO!

This salsa was exactly what I was looking for...fresh, colorful and delicious! I served it over grilled cedar-planked salmon and it was perfect!

Rhubarb Crunch

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
Excellent! I followed the recipe exactly as posted except that I used a food processor for mixing the dry crust ingredients and cutting in the butter. I put the ingredients in the processor in half-batches. This saved a lot of time and took the guesswork out of dividing the crumb mixture for the bottom and the top. Of course, doing it this way did grind up the oats, but it turned out perfectly. Excellent combination of sweet and tart. Thank you, Charlene, for posting this great recipe for all that rhubarb in the garden!

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Love this recipe. Have been making it for years for our Superbowl party. Wanted to let you know - my friend, Deb, says she hates sauerkraut and doesn't care for corned beef - she couldn't get enough. So, if you think this recipe sounds strange, give it a try. You'll love it!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Oh my gosh! I have roasted just about every other vegetable out there, but have never tried roasting brussels sprouts. I don't know why, since they are one of my favorites. These were excellent! Like another reviewer, I added some minced garlic and I roasted at 375 degrees for about 30mins - just til nicely browned - not black. I love the way the outer leaves get crispy. It's almost like eating candy, but with a little salty bite to it. My mother and husband, who don't love brussels like I do, raved about these. My husband was even sharing this recipe with the guys he works with in a millwork shop! Thank you for sharing your simple yet delicious recipe, JAQATAC.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
This was my first time brining a turkey-WOW! I have never tasted turkey so flavorful and JUICY. It just melted in your mouth. I did use a small amount of the water hot - just to dissolve the salt, and then used almost ice water for the remainder to make sure that the solution was not warm when putting the turkey in. otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. I roasted in the oven instead of smoking, but turned out great! This is the only recipe anyone needs for preparing turkey! Thank you, SUDEMERS, for this outstanding recipe.

Mom's Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Always excited to find another zucchini recipe for those summer days when the garden is overflowing! This one is very good and have made it several times. A suggestion for the reviewer that said it wasn't getting done in the middle: When cooking the zucchini and onion, be sure allow the liquid to evaporate almost completely! Have had this problem with another zucchini recipe, but this does the trick. Thanks, Mrs. Walter, for the recipe.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Great recipe! I have made many different cheesecakes and this one is definitely one of my favorites. I do, though, add a total of 1/2cup of Bailey's for a little extra kick.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
So happy to find this recipe again! I used to make these years ago and recently thought about making them again for an "Oscar" appetizer party I was having. I searched through many recipes that called for only ketchup/chili sauce and brown sugar, but I was pretty sure that the ones I made called for mayo. There's just something about the addition of mayo that makes the dish. I want you to know that, for this party, I also made bacon-wrapped scallops. These water chestnuts flew off the platter much faster than the scallops and my friends and family love scallops! Thank you, Karen, for posting this recipe.

Slammin' Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
Excellent! Followed the recipe as posted except I used lite soy sauce and seared the salmon in a heavy skillet indoors. The aroma that filled our home while it was cooking was making our mouths water! From the smells, to the color of the caramelization, to the fantastic flavor, this recipe is a winner! Thank you for sharing, "Aytom".
