About this Cook
We've been a couple since December 5th 2005 and were married August 16th 2010. We've never been big on cooking so we figured now that we can have fun cooking together, we'd try it out! (also we need to eat to live so.. probably best to learn) :)
My favorite things to cook
We love to bake! Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, all sorts. Other than that we are just trying things out for the first time. Dinners can be fun, but time-consuming, to make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I (Tanya) enjoy making Danish Kleiners with my family during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
We successfully made Spicy Crispy Beef, and it tasted delicious! It was our first non-boxed meal made together.
My cooking tragedies
I (Tanya) had until now never made anything except noodles, microwaved foods, scrambled eggs, and cookies (with help). I just never had the knowledge/confidence to do anything else (but I'm young so...). Weston burned his peanut butter cookies and undercooked the second batch.

Alfredo Sauce
This is a rating on the original recipe, no alterations! It was hard to find the romano at the store, but I did, and I followed the directions exactly. It's sooo goood! It's mild like I like it, and tastes just like professional alfredo sauce. Like from a good restaurant, but less greasy. It has that hint of sweetness and the cheese balance is just fantastic. It's not overpowering and it's easy to appreciate. I've tried other recipes for it and it turns out heavy and greasy and makes me feel kind of gross afterwards, so this is great. Yum! Thanks!
