The whole family LOVED this pie. Especially my ice creamaholic husband. Made a graham cracker crust but otherwise made as written. So yummy :)

Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
These were soo good, but I did spice them up a bit with Stacey's Hamburger Seasoning recipe. I threw the oats into the food processor to make a flour, and only chopped the veggies then threw them into the food processor before sauteing. I mixed the seasoning with the oatmeal then mixed as the recipe states and chilled overnight. I got six patties using my hamburger press but I omitted the AP flour completely. They are very sticky, but I had no trouble handling them and they held together very well.

Strawberry Bread

Sooooo good. I used more than two cups of berries, but didn't measure them, just what I needed to use up. Also cut down the oil and subbed applesauce, cut down sugar and cinnamon just on preference. Very moist, very good bread.

Easy Chicken Parmesan

This was soooo yummy. I just undercooked the pasta slightly, topped with sauce then baked as directed. Oh, and I used a blend of shredded italian cheeses. Everyone loved it, and for my nieces and nephews, that's saying a lot!!

I'm so glad you finally got this approved!! Absolutely delish and so fun to make. Used for my daughters butterfly cake and a beach cake for a luau party. Gel or powdering colorings are a godsend here to get vibrant colors.

Delish!! Served over pancakes. I also used frozen berries, and cute the sugar down to 1/4c. just to reduce the sugar.

Grandpa Hubbard's Oatmeal

This is omg good! :) I used steel cut oats and then added the brown sugar to the pan. No salt, butter or milk, and used 1/3 cup powdered creamer since all my liquid ones are the holiday flavors. Delish!!

Lipardo's Puto Seco

These were a lot like the whipped shortbread that I usually make. Yes, they are dry. So was my old recipe. I do add 1 tsp of almond and dust with powdered sugar. We all love them.

Ultimate Sugar Cookies

As another reviewer said, this is simply the Crisco recipe. But, with the whole corn syrup is bad for you thing, they've changed their recipe and I didn't ever save a card. So thank you for posting it. I do always add in an extra 1/2 c. of flour and don't roll between wax paper. I add 1 t. of almond with the vanilla. Yumm-O!!

Cream Wafers

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
These are very good. I didn't think they were that hard to make, but I think that I cut them too thick bc I didn't get 5 dz sandwiches. Oh well. lol Maybe that's what made them easier. I tried the log & slicing and I'm not good at that I guess bc it was a pain in the butt. But these are beautiful cookies and tasty too.

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
Really yummy. Lost my recipe so tried this one this year. I used evap. milk just because I also do in fudge. I mixed the pb and flour to avoid lumps. For those having problems, start the 5 min. only AFTER the candy has come to a full boil, which means you can't stir down the bubbles. And for those with dry, crumbly fudge, you've cooked it too long. If your fudge doesn't set up, add 1/4 c. milk and cook again. Not sure how to save dry fudge though.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
I used devils food and baked a little longer to make sure it was a little dry. Added choc frosting and came to a nice thick dough. I also froze them, but they never became solid and were still leaving crumbs in the almond bark so I can't imagine trying to dip them right away. Also, 3 oz is like 2 1/2 squares, no where near enough. I thinned out the chocolate w/ several T. shortening and still used nearly the entire package. The time is also very wrong, no way that you're done in an hour. The taste is okay, very sweet of course. But since there are so many other problems with this recipe as written, I don't feel that any more stars are deserved. Sorry.

None of us cared for these. Way too sweet, and DH didn't like all the soy sauce. He thought they were supposed to be a chinese recipe. Too bad, because I really had high hopes, and this makes a LOT.

Perfect Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
This wasn't anything special, really. And I ended up with the majority of the sauce left. I can't imagine using that much sauce for each serving. The batter wasn't on the chicken at all, so I added 1/4 c. flour which made for a very light, very thin breading. Only my eldest thought it was great, but he'll eat about anything. I guess if you're not real picky, that this is fine. It is a lot of time and work for ordinary though.

Sweet Potato French Toast

I've been making this recipe for a long time, it's in the Sneaky Chef cookbook. All three kids eat it without complaint, and it does taste good. The picky hubby however doesn't like it simply because you can see an orange color. I only use cinnamon and vanilla.

Super Bowl Bites

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
These were so good! I did use the whole packet of seasoning, and did not think that it was too salty and I don't care for salty foods. I couldn't make them quite as stated since I only had cheap hamburger and didn't want all of that grease in my rolls. So I also baked the meat in the 9x13 that I had also made rolls in at 400 for about 15 min. I didn't add the cheese in, one of the kids don't like it, so I sprinkled it on top after baking. Even my three year old, who never eats any meat but chicken, ate her whole slider. I made Sweet Dinner Rolls from this site and made 16 sliders.
