Date Nut Pinwheel Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2013
Thanks so much to the member who gave dimensions. I had bought extra dates and thought what the heck and made 1 1/2 times the filling which barely made it, next time I will double the filling but still use the 10 x 14 roll out. Why go to all the effort of these great cookies and not get enough of the filling? Made them last week (tripled the recipe because there were 3 of us baking) and made tons of little ones to share and these were the first to be totally eaten. Made today's batch just for my family, not sharing these.

Dishpan Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
These were excellent!!! I had made bran muffins and still had a lot of Bran Flakes with Raisins left over, which worked perfectly. Didn't crush them and the men in my household loved them and didn't taste the flakes. Didn't have coconut but that was fine with me. Thanks so much for the recipe.

World's Best Cookie

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
Recently retired, been baking a lot. Made a batch of these with another recipe and these were the favorite by far! Nice and light, a definite keeper. Followed another's suggestion and reduced the oil but still used 3/4 cup oil and added water to make a cup; cookies worked out fine. Thanks for the recipe!

Roasted Loin of Pork with Pan Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
This was fantastic! Tried to add potatoes and carrots while it cooked; didn't work out because it wasn't covered. Thank goodness because I ended up whipping up some mashed potatoes instead. The gravy was so good on the pork and the potatoes! My husband looked at me after a bite and smiled and said what a keeper! He couldn't stop thinking about how good it was later that night. My sons fought over the left overs, when normally they won't touch a reheated meal. Thanks so much for the quick recipe to cook a pork loin at the last minute without having to marinate it.

Apricot Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
My tree had an over abundance of apricots this year. I have a party to go to and thought this sounded tasty so I doubled the recipe. My husband couldn't get over the flavor and even later came in and said what a great taste it left in his mouth. I make lots of salsas and let's just say, half of the salsa I made for the party is staying home, I am not sharing. Can't wait to try on a pork tenderloin tomorrow for dinner.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
These were fantastic. I did add double the recipe and added 1 lb pork sausage but followed the rest. My family loved these and they were so easy. I froze the remainder and every week I am requested to make these. Good bye sloppy joes, you have been replaced.

Spicy Glazed Pecans

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
Was looking for something quick and easy and came across this. So easy and everyone in my family loved. I finally had to hide some from my grown boys so I could add to my salad, the whole purpose of making these. Starting my 3rd batch already. Only takes about 30 minutes total. Thanks for the recipe.

Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
The men in my family don't like fish and even they said this is a keeper. Unfortunately I didn't have the corn meal and probably would have been fantastic. The baking directions were perfect. Thanks so much for such an easy recipe.

N'Awlins Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I was truly looking forward to this based on the reviews and it was ok. Thanks to others I used only 1/2 the stuffing and moistened it first. I ended up using a lot more Creole seasoning. It is dry and needs something but was a good start. Also the prep time of course is longer than 15 minutes.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
I made this in advance for our New Year's Eve party and ended up making another batch just to share at work. Loved it and didn't even put the parmesan cheese or heat it up, it was fantastic cold! My son tried it and said it was ok but then kept coming back for more and more and smiled and said "addicting". Thanks so much for an easy great recipe!

Zesty Red Potatoes

These were so easy! I haven't had my family ever comment on potatoes before but they loved these and my son asked me to make these for a pot luck over his favorite.
