Cream of Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
This was a great recipe for someone who had never made a "cream of..." anything soup. I don't really measure when I make most things, but this recipe was a good guideline, and the soup turned out pretty yummy.

Rice Seasoning Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
This was great. I didn't measure exactly how much of each ingredient I used, and I didn't have any almonds, but it made a nice baggie of seasoning that I was able to use on two separate meals. I boiled the seasonings with brown rice and made a nice pilaf. Delicious with fried pork chops!

Southern Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
I brined the chicken like other reviewers suggested and it turned out pretty tasty. The only thing is, it turned out a little dry, not sure why.

Spaghetti Pie III

Pretty basic and simple. THe cream cheese and sour cream mixture was great mixed in with the noodles. I used whole wheat thin spaghetti :D

All-American Chips and Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
I give this four stars because the dip recipe (sour cream and ranch dressing) is on the packets of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix, but the pepper and blue chips make a very nice presentation :)

Chocolate Mint Sugar Cookie Drops

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
This recipe sounded great because we really wanted cookies and didn't have enough butter left. The dough tasted a little boring, but I figured that was just me being used to butter taste. I ended up having to bake these for almost twenty minutes to get them to a "done" apppearance and taste. They didn't make a cookie shape at all, just stayed how I baked them. Even with a sugar coating, these cookies tasted like boring bread with random chocolate chips. As another review said, it was like the dough was a holder for the chips. I will not be making this recipe again.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
This was great, and very easy to modify. I added about three more cheeses, some milk, and italian seasonings... good stuff

Cream Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
This was an extremely simple recipe to use, and the scones turned out tasty. I didn't have quite enough cream, but it was very forgiving when I added extra milk and butter to make up for it. Will definitely make again, and I'm thinking of adding dried cranberries and orange zest so my coworkers don't go to starbucks for scones anymore :D

Crusty White Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
This was my first time making bread completely from scratch, and what a user-friendly recipe it is! I think I kneaded the dough for about four minutes, max... it just "felt right" at about that time. I did have to add a bit more flour while kneading to combat glueyness, but overall very simple. I added oregano and freshly minced garlic cloves to make an Italian bread, and it worked perfectly. I don't have loaf pans, so I formed two loaves in my 13x9 clear pyrex casserole dish. The loaves baked up very nicely and looked more "Italian breadlike" because they were a little flatter and wider than traditional loaves. Filled the entire pan with bread, and the loaves broke apart very easily! THis bread was light and sweetly tasty without being overwhelmingly full of sugar. Very nice!

Chicken Caesar Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
This was great. I made it with cold pasta and chicken, because I thought the heat would be too weird on the lettuce. Chopped up the romaine and mixed it all together, and it was delicious!
