Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

I work on a pig farm. Added just a little bit of rendered leaf lard to the soup. Gives it an incredible richness. Something to consider if you have access to high quality lard. Also, throw in a large sprig of rosemary while the potatoes are boiling. Yum.

Beef Brisket on Buns

As others have said, this is a great simple recipie for doing something with brisket other than BBQ. For me, the taste was just a little too bland when it was done, so I added a little glaze at the end that I think gave it a little something extra. I had fresh horseradish and dill from the farmers market so I mixed that with spicy brown mustard to make a nice little sauce. I uncovered the brisket, brushed this sauce over the meat and put the brisket back in the oven (again, uncovered) for an additional 20 minutes or so. Came out great!

Flank Steak Pinwheels

Unbelievable. Didn't know something that looks and tastes so great could be this simple. As others have noted, cooking time may be a little shorter than indicated. One thing I added that gave it a little something extra was sun-dried tomatoes. I also substituted gorgonzola for the feta for personnal preference.

Sweet and Sour Pork Patties

Made this last night with white rice and stir-fry, very good and very easy. Made my own sweet and sour sauce and used extra to pour over rice/veggies before serving. Only addition I made was to add siracha to the pork mixture. I love spicy food, and if you do as well, it's a great addition.

This was very good. By the ingredients I'm sure you can tell it's a pretty heavy meal. However, it tasted great, can't quibble about calories!

Dan's Favorite Chicken Sandwich

Made this tonight for myself, it was fantastic. Made a few variations for personal preference; I used potato bread instead of hoagie rolls, I just like the way it toasts up and absorbs all the oils; I cut one large chicken breast in half lengthwise, I thought it was the perfect amount; I'm not really an avocado person so I used tomato istead, it was a nice substitute I think; and I added a little hot sauce to the BBQ when glazing the chicken to give it a little kick. Take what you want leave what you don't. The original recipe is great, I just thought I'd change a few things for fun.
