Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I had some very ripe bananas to use and this easy simple and tasty recipe fit the bill. I didn't have any sour cream so I doubled the banana amount and it tasted so moist and delicious. I didn't even frost them. Thanks deltaj for sharing...!!

I grew up eating a similar cabbage recipe. Wonderful..!! I didn't add the sugar, the cabbage is sweet enough without it.

I loved these as well as everyone I shared them with. I did increase the peanut butter to 1 1/2 cups and used regular shortening as that's all I had on hand. Perfect for the rainy Sunday. Thanks Beth.

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
Lovely recipe that I modified slightly. Used 20oz of the dry tortellini and blanched the broccoli in the pasta water at the end of cooking for 2mins. Used 3/4 cup mayo with 1/4 cup sugar and 3TBLS of cider vinegar. Mixed a the dressing, veggies, pasta and craisins together and chilled over night. Mixed in the bacon and seeds right before serving to my co-workers that loved it. What little that was left tasted even better the next day!! Thank you AMFC

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
My first roasted chicken and this was a big hit...!! I did double the rub ingredients except the salt and stuffed the bird with 1/2 an onion in addition to xtra cloves of garlic. I cooked this as recommended but cooked the bird on quartered red potatos and carrots with a cup of chicken stock and basted with butter as I dropped the oven temp. This made for a wonderful gravy thickened with some cornstarch and cold water. I also added the chicken juice that accumulated while the bird was resting. My boyfriend and I are licking our fingers as I type. Thanks for a wonderful complete dinner INDRIANI...!!

These were delicious. The only changes I made were I sautéed 3 cloves of garlic after the onion step, added a hint of cayenne pepper to the mixture and used fresh mozzarella in place of the Italian blend cheese. Thank you Anita!

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
I loved the way these carnitas turned out. I did make a few changes per others suggestions and doubled the spices except for the cinnamon and added a sliced onion and 4 cloves of chopped garlic to the bottom. Just crisped some of the shredded meat in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 mins....Yummo...!! Many thanks Erin. I've already had this for breakfast and dinner and I will make nachos out of it tomorrow for lunch..!!

Steak Salad (Ranen Salad)

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Great summer salad...I didn't add the liquid smoke to the dressing but I did add 1 clove garlic minced and 1/4 tspn red pepper flakes as per others suggestions. I grilled the steak after marinating it in equal parts olive oil and balsamic vinegar, dried marjoram, oregano, slivered garlic and s/p. I added extra veggies I had to use up in addition to the ones listed. I will definately make again Rebecca. :)
