Rolled Buttercream Fondant

I tried this recipe for a change rather than a regular fondant recipe, as I did not have any unflavored gelatin on hand. I'm not sure what all the reviewers who loved this recipe did, but I followed it exactly and it turned out terrible. Super greasy and difficult to work with! Perhaps if I'd decreased the amount of shortening it would have turned out better. I tried adding more confectioner's sugar, but it still was too greasy, and when I rolled it out and covered the cake it was too heavy and broke all along the top edges of the cake. I would never recommend this; save yourself a headache and try a regular or marshmallow fondant instead.

Soft Caramel Corn

I made this using only half the amount called for of the caramel ingredients, and added 2 tsp vanilla when I added the condensed milk. It came out perfect! If I had added as much caramel as the recipe calls for, it would have been way too much.
