The Cook and The Eater
About this Cook
I'm an animal science student cooking on a student's budget. I keep kosher (no pork, no milk+meat but I do eat seafood) so finding recipes that fit that bill are important and sometimes a challenge. Plus I usually feed at least one of my 3 guy roommates.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I also really like Italian and Asian inspired dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken soup? My mother and grandmother are wonderful cooks so I have a lot of Jewish Mother-ness in the genes just waiting to overfeed a family.
My cooking triumphs
I improved (via improv) a lasagna recipe I found... I have a few recipes that I can now do without my allrecipes.com print-out.
My cooking tragedies
Being a student it's hard to afford an awesome kitchen to fill with awesome cookware and appliances to fill with awesome ingredients but maybe in a few years...?

Key West Penne
My offical "eater" said that this was the best dinner I've made yet. I used shredded parm instead of grated because it was cheaper and it didn't seem to make a big difference. Yum, will make this again but maybe substitute crab meat for scallops.
