About this Cook
I cook because I enjoy it. It makes me feel good inside. My Mom was and still is my greatest influence. When friends and family members tell me "this tastes just like Mom's" I know I did a good job.

My favorite things to cook are candies, desserts and jellies and butters.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking tradition would have to be at Christmas time. I dive into all my candy recipes and I make lots of jellies and butters to pass out as Christmas gifts. My Husband is right by my side every step of the way. He's a big help.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph was the first Thanksgiving that my stuffing came out tasting just like Mom's!!!
My cooking tragedies
Do I have to tell?!?!? LOL This would be when I was 10. My Mom went into the hospital for emergency surgery and I had to make dinner for my Dad, 6 brothers and 1 sister. My noodles came out like glue. They could be picked up in one clump with a fork. That was 30 years ago and I'm reminded of it on a regular basis even now. Hehehe !!!

S'more Brownies
Ooey Gooey Greatness !!! These are incredible. All you have to do is listen to the other reviewers. Break the crackers smaller than is indicated in the recipe and dont put the toppings on til the last 5 minutes of baking. I used half a bag of mini-marshmellows. This is quick and easy and the absolute YUMMIEST !!! Thank you Liza !!!

Sweet Dinner Rolls
I've been making this recipe for a couple of months now. It makes fabulous dinner rolls. The dough is perfect and extrememly easy to work with. The other night I tried making cinnamon rolls with it. They are the BEST!!! Here's what you do. Roll dough out to a rectangle, oh about this big, Paint the rectangle with butter. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1 Cup brown sugar and 5 Teaspoons of cinnamon. Roll up starting with the long side. Cut into 12 slices. Place into a buttered 9x13 cake pan and let rise for about an hour. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. You dont NEED a glaze. Mom's Ginger Snaps
FANTASTIC !!! Just finished making these cookies with my nieces. Instead of rolling into balls I used a cookie scooper, made it much easier. Then used the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar to press cookies down slightly. Also, I took the advise of others and doubled the spices. These came out fabulously. The tops even crackled like true ginger snaps do. I will be adding this to my collection of cookie recipes. Thank you so much Elaine !!!
