Vegan Pancakes

I thought these were excellent without any substitions. My family made them disappear in record time.

Tortillas II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
We have had a blizzard here and are pretty much out of groceries, so I thought I would try these. They definitely taste better than store bought, but not as soft as some other made from scratch. I didn't have shortening so I used butter instead. Also, I used kosher salt and they were super salty. I think I will try them again with shortening and hot water like another member suggested. Even though they weren't excellent they were still pretty good and not too much work, my kids even helped.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I think that this recipe was wonderful. It made just enough for my family of 3. I mixed the recipe by hand, and although the batter was just slightly lumpy, it came out great with no flour pockets or anything. I added a tsp of vanilla just for flavor. This batter was slightly thicker than the one I normally make, but they came out looking wonderful and very yummy.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
i thought that this recipe made a very clumpy/stringy dip verses the creamy ones that i have had before. i also felt that the flavor was a little overwhelming, probably because of the alfredo sauce.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

very good, quick and easy. i think that i will definitely do a 28oz can of crushed tomato next time. some cumin and a can of green chilies would be good as well.

Queijadas

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2007
this recipe was good, fast, and easy but nothing like an actual queijada. it reminded me more of a queque.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
this recipe is so quick and easy as suggested. i use the low sodium beef broth so that i can control the amount of salt. i added some natures seasoning and garlic powder to the broth for a little more flavor.

Vegetarian Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
I love, love, love this recipe!! I sautee chopped zucchini and sqaush with the onion and bell pepper, for a heartier soup. Also, I like to use half diced tomato and half puree (or crushed). It's really tasty if you garnish it with cilantro and lime juice. So good, definitely a keeper.
