This was sooooo yummy! My whole family loved it. The only thing I added was a cup of peas to the mix. Will definitely make again!

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
These are very good. I followed some suggestions and added a 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 cup brown sugar to the recipe. I used 1 1/2 cups wheat flour and 1/4 cup white flour. Sprinkled the tops of the muffins with a cinnamon sugar mix before baking. Excellent - especially as strawberries are in season now - so good!

Followed the recipe as written except used skinless boneless chicken thighs instead of drumsticks. It was a hit with the whole family! Thanks!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
Beautifully, perfect, HUGE cookies! The only thing I did different was I lowered the amount of butter to 200g instead of 225g ( 1 cup minus 2 tblsp) because some of the reviews said they were too greasy. These didn't look greasy at all to me. They look perfect...though I haven't tried them yet (I did taste the dough though and that was yummy!). Thanks for the recipe.

Cantaloupe Bread with Praline Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This bread was surprisingly good. I had a cantaloupe left over before heading out on holiday, so decided to puree it and give this recipe a go when I returned. I followed the advice of several members and did not make the glaze but added the pecans to the recipe. I also left out the oil and replaced it with additional cantaloupe puree. And, for the sugar, I did half sugar, half Splenda. The bread is yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

Raspberry Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
These came out very yummy. My husband ate 2 of them straight off! I didn't powder them with confectionery sugar at the end (just forgot), but they were still very yummy. Thanks for the recipe.

Alienated Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
They are OK - I definitely wouldn't say out of this world. Even after following advice of others and washing and flouring the berries, they still all fell to the bottom of the muffins. The batter was yummy, but once baked a bit of a disappointment. The search continues for the best blueberry muffin...:)

This was very tasty though next time I might add a bit more cayenne pepper to add a bit more spice to it. My kids loved them and so did my husband. Very easy to make. Will definitely do again. Thanks!

Chicken Salad with Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
Yummy chicken salad. I omitted the celery (don't like it) and the avocado (too high in calories), and used extra light mayo. Very tasty! Makes a simple lunch. Thanks.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
Very yummy. I made a couple changes. I took advice of previous reviews and added worchestershire sauce and gravy mix to the meat to season it better and make a slight gravy. For the potatoes, to make it lighter, instead of adding butter, I mashed in chives, salt and pepper, and lowfat plain yogurt, and cheddar. I just used some frozen mixed veggies (beans, carrots, peas, and corn)for the middle layer. My kids ate it up as did my husband and myself. I would use this recipe again.

This turned out really tasty though wasn't falling off the bone as much as I would have liked. But the whole family liked it just the same and it was quite tender. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
