Bearnaise Sauce II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
I have made this twice now and the first time I found the vinegar to be overpowering. The second time I made a double batch and used 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of white wine and it was perfect! Love the ease of this and the flavor is great! Thank you for posting!

Scallops with White Wine Sauce II

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
Great recipe! I also double the sauce as many reviewers have suggested plus I add fresh parsley & crushed red pepper. I have served over whole wheat angel hair as well as long grain brown rice & prefer the rice since it absorbs more of this great sauce! This sauce has become a staple & works well with any type of seafood.

No-Peek Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned and even so, this was very bland to me. I served over egg noodles & even my guest said "it's not awful but it's not good." We added lots of cracked black pepper & sour cream after our initial taste to try to doctor it up but I would not make again. Another friend loves this recipe & it is well-rated... it just didn't appeal to my palate.

Cioppino

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
This is great! I halved the recipe & made a few minor adjustments to the broth: I increased the wine and omitted the water, plus I added crushed red pepper flakes & cayenne. I also used petite diced tomatoes so I didn't have to break them up. I let the broth simmer for a couple of hours. About 10-15 minutes before serving I added clams first, then a few minutes later a seafood medley (calamari, shrimp, scallops), more shrimp & langoustine tails. It was delicious! I can't wait to make it for company - thanks Star!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very good; very simple! This was my first attempt at quiche and the fact that this was crustless was really appealing. I read several reviews and skipped the butter completely. I added onion, red pepper, turkey bacon and mozzarella. I sprayed my pie pan with Pam & it worked out great! I had to cook approximately 50 minutes at 350 in my glass pan. Thank you for the recipe!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
This was delicious! I doubled the recipe and used two cans stewed and two cans diced tomatoes. I added chili powder and a couple of fresh roma tomatoes. Next time I will add a couple of jalapenos for more kick but this recipe is great as is for a party since it wasn't too spicy. Amazing fresh taste - will definitely be making this again and again!
