Just me & the new Hubby!
About this Cook
3 boys (adults) and my husband make me WANT to cook for them all the time!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts (pie!), anything French (Beef Bourguignon)& anything old fashioned, from those old church cookbooks that have old fashioned ingredients labels.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookies, baking them early in the fall & freezing them. Nothing better than a good sugar cookie with frosting fresh out of the freezer! (not freezer burnt!)
My cooking triumphs
Lasagna for a group of 35 people & everyone loved it! Not one piece of it left (8 pans)...took me 2 days to cook it all but it was worth it.
My cooking tragedies
I absolutely cannot make anything "fried" - fried chicken, fish, etc - anything that requires an inch of oil to cook in and I'm out of my league.

Raspberry Ribbons
Very tasty - very difficult to do with the bars so I did what other people did and make cookies. Be careful how much jam you use though - it'll run when you bake it if you aren't careful. This will get added to my list of cookie standards though.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
You couldn't mess this dough up if you tried! I have been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe since my grandmother's recipe book was lost in a fire - I think I've maybe tried and rejected at least 50 of them. This one is so easy, and so great to work with I didn't even use once pinch of flour or sugar with my rolling pin! No joke! I used parchment paper to roll-out and on the baking sheets. I would recommend this, especially for a first time baker. Awesome taste too - I just can't get over the dough though. I didn't change one thing on this recipe right down to the baking time. To whomever created this recipe and also the person that shared it - thanks from the bottom of mine and my teenagers stomachs!

French Silk Chocolate Pie
GREAT Pie - great taste, so good. My 3 boys and my husband ate one whole pie by themselves over Thanksgiving. Didn't change a thing other than decorating the top a bit different.
