This recipe was really good and would use this as a frequent rotation on my menu. I did make a few changes according to the feedback that I read: Precook cabbage leaves for 2-3 min and pull off as they cook. Line baking dish with leaves. Prepare 1 lb lean ground beef with 1/3 cup diced onion, 1/2 cup tomato juice, 2 tbs tomato soup, egg (beaten), 1/3 cup cooked rice, salt and pepper to taste.
For sauce: one 8oz. can tomato juice, remaining can tomato soup, 1 tbs brown sugar, 2 tbs lemon juice, 2 tsp worcestershire sauce.
Wrap heaping spoon full of meat into leaf and wrap. Lay rolls over bed of leaves and cover with most of sauce then lay extra leaves over wraps and lightly cover those with the remaining sauce. ( this will prevent them from burning ). Bake 350 degrees for about 40-50 min.
