So much better than store bought and easily made. Try it- you'll never go back!

This is awesome. Left out the lettuce like many others suggested and it was perfect.

Made these just like it said- used one of those specialty baguette pans and it was wonderful.

Coquito

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
I can't imagine drinking this on its own because it is just too rich, but I did love it when I substituted it for eggnog inn the Eggnog Gingerbread Trifle recipe.

Eggnog Gingerbread Trifle

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
MMMMmmm was this good. We tried not to think of all the calories we were intaking. I used the Coquito recipe instead of the eggnog- just because I had those ingredients on hand and it turned out delicious.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I have made the original recipe and loved it. Usually I chop up whatever vegetables I have at hand and add those as well for extra vitamins. The garlic is lovely as well and I do put the sugar/ketchup on top.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Instead of ice water, I used ice and put the covered bucket outside overnight. Everything else I followed the recipe and it turned out perfect. My mom, who had never heard of brining a turkey before, was amazed at the great taste!

I followed this recipe almost exactly- except that I added homemade chicken stock instead of the canned. It was superb!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I kept the basics of this recipe (the beef and sausage) but for the rest used what I had available around the house. Most of the ingredients were the same though and this was the yummiest chili ever. Even my non-chili-eating-9 year old had himself a second helping.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
This really is the best apple pie ever. I followed the suggestions of previous reviewers... added some spices like cinammon and vanilla and mixed everything before putting it into the pie crust. This recipe works very well with the double pie crust recipe also from this site. LOVE IT!

Pastry for Double-Crust Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I love this crust- super easy to make. I don't bother using a rolling pin- just my fingers so it's kind of lumpy but when it's finished baking it comes out perfect. I like this with Grandma Opels Pie. mmmhhhhhh.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I've made this a few times. It's great. I substitute the powdered garlic and use fresh instead. I make a few portions and freeze them- why buy processed store bought when this is as easy and so much better? Try it- you'll love it!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
This came out quite well- I put it on a baguette pan in the oven to bake instead of in the bread machine. Tasty.
