Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
I am sorry but I cannot give this a high rating. I followed the recipe to the letter, but even after 13 1/2 hours in the crockpot, the potatoes and carrots were still not done. The taste was ok, but this one is definitely NOT a keeper. Talq

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
I read many of the reviews and incorporated the best ones into my dish, using only thighs. However, it was just 'so-so', not a lot of flavor, the Panko crumbs did not stick as well as I thought they should. I did add the additional seasonings that so many recommended, used 2/3 mayonnaise and 1/3 milk, but even that did not make this recipe a keeper...my husband says there are better 'oven-fried chicken' recipes and that I should keep searching.

Lemon Green Beans with Walnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
This one did not do it. I am still searching for a 'great' green bean recipe that is tasty, unique...anything other than same old bland green beans. Any suggestions?

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
My husband does not care for chicken breasts (too dry and tasteless, he says), but he admitted this was the best yet and that it definitely was a keeper. I followed others' suggestions and wrapped each breast in two strips of bacon at the beginning, drizzled the honey-mustard sauce over bacon and breasts, baked 40 minutes, then sprinkled the mozzarella cheese just until melted. It was absolutely the most delicious Honey-Mustard Chicken dish we have found and believe me, we have tried many! Thanks, Sarahbea!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Thanks, Anne, for a wonderful recipe. It is definitely a keeper. As others have suggested, do double the gravy. My husband did the cooking outside in an electric skillet. Couldn't have been better!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
This is definitely a 'keeper'. Everyone loved it and even asked for the recipe...now everyone has it as their 'special' salad for guests. I usually don't like a recipe with so many ingredients, but this one is well worth the time and effort.

Cranberry Hootycreeks

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
Don't know how these delicious cookies received this odd name, but they are the best ever. I have been giving these 'cookies in a jar' to friends and relatives for several years. If you try them only once, you will be hooked forever. Talq

Tangy Poppy Seed Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
This is such a delicious fruit salad recipe. I did use canned orange segments instead of fresh; I did add bananas; and I did decrease the amount of poppy seeds. All in all, it is on my list of favorite 'company' salads. Thanks, Katy.

Apple Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
The cake was delicious; however, I will use 1 1/2 or perhaps 2 cans of apple pie filling next time, with a little cinnamon in the cake batter. Thanks, Mary Ann for sharing!

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2003
This recipe is definitely not the Southern Cornbread that I am looking for. It was much too sweet, the eight ounce pan is certainly not large enough and it tasted more like cake than cornbread. I will keep trying for a better one.

Best Chicken Salad Ever I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2002
I waited a long time before sending this negative review. This is still not the chicken salad recipe I am looking for. Even after using a 10 ounce can of chunk chicken, it still tasted too much like just a fruit salad...too much apple, raisins, nuts, etc. Talq

Homemade Candy Bars

Oh, how my family enjoyed this homemade "Almond Joy". This is a keeper that is frequently requested and very simple to make.
