Real Strawberry Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I had a lots of complements about this frosting. I did make the following changes. I added a little more strawberries (about 1 1/2cups instead of the 1 cup) and added 1/8tsp of almond extract, which brings out the strawberry flavor.

Chux Beef Tips

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
I followed the recipe closely except for the following, I used low sodium soy sauce, low sodium brown gravy mix, did not add any additional salt and added green peppers. I found it to be rather watery and will next time follow the previous reviews with adding less water and thicken it.

Coconut Curry Fish

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
I feel this was very bland. I even added more spices but something is missing as I had to over salt it just to be able to taste something.

Guacamole Chicken Melt

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Pretty good. The quality of the guacamole matters to this dish! I made my own guacamole and substituted the pepper jack cheese to a "Mexican" blend shredded cheese.

I enjoyed this pie. I did substitute all of the sugar in the pie (except the sprinkle) with splenda.

Maureen's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I followed the recipe (which is unusual for me) and everyone that I have served this to loved it and have had many people ask me for the recipe. The only thing I did different is to make it in a crock pot, it does get a little soupy but I have not had any complaints.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
The cake part is fairly bland, I added about 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of almond flavoring. Improved the taste! The Pineapple bottom is yummy. I still prefer the Dunkin Hinze recipe that uses boxed yellow cake.

Chicken Puffs

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
A good feels like home meal. I agree that there is too much cream cheese..but I still liked it! I might try to add some broccoli the next time I make it. When you making it...you might think that there is too much garlic...there is NOT! The cream cheese tends to over power the garlic and onion flavors...so don't skimp on them. I used non-fat creamcheese and the new 50/50blend of butter by SmartBalance to reduce the fat content.
