Sarah's Easy Shredded Chicken Taco Filling

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
Delicious and easy. Changes I made were, I added brown/white rice and salsa verde instead of tomato sauce since I didn't have any.

Quick and Easy Pancit

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
First time making and eating pancit. I thought it sounded tasty and wanted to make it for my dad's birthday this weekend, but, wanted to try it out before. I have a Filipino co-worker and she said it was good and gave me some tips. Pretty good and easty to make. Most likely, I will make pancit this weekend. Thanks for the recipe!

12-Hour Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
Very close to the best. I made this for a family birthday and it was a hit. I followed the recipe as followed. Later that week I made a much smaller version of it for dinner and although I didn't have time to leave it in the fridge it was still good.

Szechuan Spicy Eggplant

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
Yummy! I love anything with eggplant in it, so when I saw this recipe, I knew I had to try it. I followed everything on here except a few minor changes. Instead of green onions, I used cilantro, due to me not having any. Also, I used chicken instead of shrimp and ground beef. I will definantly make sure I have all the ingredients next time and follow the recipe as is. I do have to say, the flavor was great! I loved the ginger in it. I can also taste the soy sauce and oyster sauce. I didn't expect it to be as spicy as it was, but, just that tiny teaspoon of chili sauce did it. I didn't have to add any extra before I ate.

Crab Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
I love it! My first time eating and making couscous. The only changes I made were not adding any crab meat or mango since I don't have any at the moment and just using water instead of the broth and butter. It's a delicious side dish to go with my grilled chicken breast. Thanks for the recipe!

This recipe was just okay for me. First thing I noticed was it was a bit too salty.

Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Because of the high ratings I chose this recipe as a bake sale item at work. I wanted something new and interesting, yet promising. I wasn't quite sure how the texture would be when I saw the review that it would be "cake-like" I was a little nervous. After baking my first batch, I tried a cookie and my was it delicious. I will be making these again in the future.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
My boyfriend loved it, I loved it, that's all that matters. I didn't have chicken stock on hand, so I used water and added 2 chicken boullions instead. I also added 2 celery stalks, a carrot, half of a large onion, and 1 can of cream of chicken soup (instead of 2). I will be making this again, especially during this cold season coming up. A tip I got from my cook book, I used 2 cups of the cooking liquid from the slowcooker and heat that up in a sauce pan. I also added 1/4 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of cool water, mixed that well and added to the sauce pan until bubbly to make a gravy.

Incredible Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Yum Yum! So, like the others, I thought it would be a little bit weird, but, it's actually delicious. The flavor reminds me of either b.b.q. chicken or a soy sauce marinade. But, it's much simplier and you don't have to marinade for hours. (I hate that) Simple and delicioso...my favorite!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
My first time making home made chicken noodle soup and it's delicious! I followed everything minus the pepper, marjoram, thyme, and bay leaf. Instead I added parsley and tarragon since I didn't have the ingredients that was requested. Very simple and good, this will be my go to recipe. Thanks!

Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Very very tasty. Like everyone else, I used less ketchup, substituted onion powder w/ garlic powder, and also added the chili powder, soy sauce, and hot sauce. I will highly likely make this sauce again when I have drumsticks, thighs, and wings.

I didn't change a thing and the burgers were delicious. I only left it in the fridge for 30-45 minutes because I was starving. Next time I will plan ahead and leave it in there longer.

Bacon Cabbage Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
I grew up eating this dish. Growing up on a budget, my mom would prepare this meal for us because it was cheap and quick. The only difference was we'd use black pepper and maybe a little salt for the cabbage. Tasty meal.

Fish Sinigang (Tilapia) - Filipino Sour Broth Dish

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This recipe is sooo simple yet, delicious. Very satisfying, especially since it's getting colder. I substitute the daikon with brown rice since I didn't have any on hand. Also, instead of the Tamarind paste, I used Worcestershire sauce, since I didn't have any of that either. I will surely make this again.
