Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
I also follow this recipe to a "T", there is absolutely nothing that has to be changed (except to double it because it is so yummy!!) My only "tips" are that I put all the dressing ingredients in the blender and mix it up that way - very quick and no "touching" the anchovies:-) Also a time saver for me is to put the garlic in the oil and saute it then drizzle it over the croutons, mix well and spread out on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Awesome recipe - have been using it for a while now and every time it's a hit! Thanks

Rocky Road Fudge Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
Please people...we KNOW these are rich and sweet, they are not for the faint of heart, you must be a true chocoholic to enjoy these. They are wonderful! *Someone's fudge sauce was very thick - I wondered if they forgot to add the milk to it. Last night I was making these for about the 20th time and I thought, I don't remember the fudge sauce being so thick, then realized I forgot the milk, so I added it with the powder sugar and all was good again. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the yummy, too rich, too sweet dessert! 10 stars ;-)

Artichoke and Crabmeat Triangles

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
Very Delicious! I used it as a dip. Heated it up in a pan in the oven, then put it in a serving bowl and served with pita chips - a big hit, the bowl is empty every time I serve it. If anyone thinks there is too much crab, I beg to differ. Don't alter the recipe until you have tried it the original way first.

Lemon Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse Cake

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This is a little time consuming, but worth the effort, it turns out very light and delicious. I followed the advise of the reviewer who used instant pudding to thicken the mousse. I just whipped my cream until it was thick and sprinkled in about 2 TBS of vanilla instant pudding and it thickened immediately, so I didn't add anymore, then mixed in the white chocolate, it turned out very good, easy to frost, not runny at all. I didn't have raspberries so I used strawberries and it was very good.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
Fabulous! This was so good, we couldn't stop eating it. I didn't have raspberries so I added extra kiwi, I used a strawberry puree (I had left over from a cake recipe from this site) for the preserves and I just used original pam, as I didn't have the butter flavor, but no worries, it turned out great with these few changes. I will try it again w/ raspberries... delicious. I didn't even mention the chips - you could eat them w/ anything, very good.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
This one is a little tricky. I read all the reviews prior to making it. I followed all directions in recipe and took some advise from other reviewers. I found that the only things I changed were cooking the onions a little longer and adding some flour at the end of the onion cooking process to absorb some of the butter and it turned out GREAT. The second time I made it I cut the butter and oil amts in half and it DID NOT taste the same - so I don't recommend that. Do as the recipe says, but brown the onions and add the flour, It needs the butter for the GOOD flavor!

Love this salad, with all the goodies. I used the "candy coated pecans" from this website, very good.

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Excellent ~ I used these on the Pear and Blue cheese salad on this website - it calls for candied pecans and I had never made them before - these worked great (if you can stop eating them and save some for the salad!)

Waldorf Salad III

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Good flavor - I took the advise of other reviewers and made 1/2 the sauce. I used enough to coat the salad well and UNfortunately threw the left over out. The salad does absorb some of the dressing, so I wish I had kept it and RE-coated before serving, as I had made the salad up several hours in advance. I will make it again and Keep the left over sauce, just in case!

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

I loved this dish - I LOVE coconut, so next time I make it I may add 1 1/2 cans coconut milk, but that is my own taste. The recipe was excellent as written.

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Very good ~ I used fresh peaches and for the 1/4 cup liquid, I used pineapple juice & thickened it w/ a little cornstarch. Turned out beautifully. I lost my old peach cobbler recipe so I was very happy to have found this one.

Very good, creamier and a little sweeter than "regular" pumpkin pie filling. Topped w/ whipped cream and candied pecans (from this website).

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Excellent & different. I used the cream cheese recipe called for in the cookie recipe and was delighted. I only made about half the cookie batter and froze the rest. It makes a very large batch- good for bake sales!

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
This recipe scared me a little, but I tried it and was glad I did. I've made it twice now. I didn't have cake flour and the first time I made it, it was a little dense. The second time I made it (still no cake flour) I sifted my flour and it was lighter. Good flavor both times. I used jello brand lemon pie filling and made it according to package directions - the 4.3 oz box makes plenty to layer the cake as the recipe states.
