Works great! I've had mine alive for 2 months and have made pancakes, french baquettes, San Fran sourdough and I plan to make german rye. I only wish it were more sour tasting.

Schlotsky's Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
I don't know if I did something wrong or if I had a different sandwich than everyone else! This was super dense, not light and airy and crisy, and I could taste th baking soda. I followed the recipe but added more salt. I want that holey crispy light bun!

French Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
This was my first go at crepes after my husband requested them after seeing throwdown with bobby flay! Since I didn't have a crepe pan I just flipped over my large shallow pot and cooked them on there! Made nutella and strawerry and scrambled eggs with sundried tomatoes and sharp cheddar cheese and cooked apples and sour cream and brown sugar!!! Delish!

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
I used local organic grass fed heavy cream and it was awesome!!! I even used the buttermilk to make pancakes! Deeeelish! It only took about 6 or 7 minutes in my food processor. Well worth it! Very easy!

Caramel Apple Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
This was very yummy. I think the directions for others should be a little more clear. I would also use more whipped topping. A girl I used to work with made this and she wouldn't give me the recipe! Her's was very fluffy though so I would add an add'l cup of whipped topping and dice the apples in chuncks (don't do slices!).

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
Wow! I love this recipe. I made this with sesame noodles and my hubs said it was the best chinese food he's ever had! I would def. agree that there isn't enough sauce. I even made a meat free version for myself with "quorn" cutlets and it was soooo good! Thank you thank you thank you! I also put a little corn starch in the flour to give it that extra puffy crispiness! YUM!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
I love to bake and have had some pretty spectacular brownies but this was just kinda ho-hum. Nothing really special. I think I would add half a cup of powdered sugar. It's not real sweet in a bad way.

English Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
Wow! I love these! 4 stars because I just wish there was a little more big bubbles! I used a oversized one for a veggie burger bun! My mom loves EM's and I can't wait to have her try homemade ones! These would be great for grilling with butter for an egg muffin sandwhich!

Wow! My search is over for the perfect chinese restaurant noodles! I cut the sugar and oil and they were perfect. I made it with Ambers sesame chicken and my Hubs said it was the best chinese food he's ever had! Not bad for German! Thank you for the author of this recipe!

Oatmeal Pancakes II

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
These were pretty good. I like a little fluffier pancake. I did like the nuttieness of the cakes. I used white whole wheat flour instead of ap for an extra healthy kick.

Haitian French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
wow this is tasty! I had all things on hand so it was super easy. I made a homemade blueberry syrup to compliment the orange! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little chewy as it got colder but it could have been my bread.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
I made it and it was very easy and smelled great. (I'm a vegetarian). My hubs said that it was butter overload (and I didn't even use all the recommended amount.) and he felt like he was eating lobster (in a bad way). I think this should be baked on a rack first and then dotted with butter.

Egg Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
These we just ok. I added 1 tsp. of ginger and nutmeg and I still thought they were a little bland. I think brown sugar should be used. I added an orange grapefruit icing for them. I made them for a party and people liked them a lot but I personally wasn't impressed.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
My husband asked me if I would make this instead of buying white bread from the store. I haven't bought white bread for 2 months! I topped mine with seasame seeds!

Butterscotch Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
I just watched "Because I said so" and she made a butterscotch cake and I just had to make one! I used a caramel box cake mix and it was pretty good. Not enough butterscotch flavor...I'll try Yellow next time. I made my familys secret buttercream recipe and flavored it butterscotch! My husband would eat the whole thing if I let him!
