Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
Great, easy recipe especially if you have a stand mixer with a dough hook. I thought it turned out best when I used 3 cups all-purpose flour and omitted the bread flour. I made regular pretzels, pretzel sticks and pretzel bites. All turned out great. Even my daughter who isn't big on pretzels ate one. Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
It was ok as is. It had an odd taste and smell to it. After looking at some similar recipes on here, I added 1 cup Thousand Island dressing, 1 cup apricot preserves, 1/4 cup red wine, 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. Then I cooked the sauce another 1/2 hour or so. That made it taste a lot better, but I'm not sure I would make it again.

Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
I'm a big fan of Indian food and this is the BEST homemade tikka masala I've tried. The only change I made was using regular butter instead of ghee. I love that I could easily find the ingredients in my cupboard or fridge and didn't need to go to a specialty shop. Thanks so much for posting this!!

Quick Tartar Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
This is the best tartar sauce I have ever had! I sometimes substitute finely chopped dill pickle for the relish, and that's pretty good, too.

Salmon Appetizers

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
I had some leftover salmon and cream cheese and decided to try this. Although I like salmon and salsa I was skeptical about combining the two. However, I was pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. Thanks for the great recipe!

Sunday Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
My family loved this dish. I added some carrots, peas and onion since some other reviewers had noted it was a little bland. I will definitely be adding this to my regular dinner rotation.

Chutney Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
Good but not wonderful. The taste of the sauce was too overpowering. I might use it again in a pinch as a coating for chicken strips or chicken chunks to use in a stirfry, but I doubt I would cook it again as is.

Mark's English Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
This is very similar to a recipe I got from my English neighbor. I used Jimmy Dean sage sausage and precooked it until it was just starting to brown to eliminate some grease. I also used Pepperidge Farm puff pastry. Both my neighbor and my English husband had never heard of adding mustard, but my husband thought it was quite a nice addition. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
All my friends and family rave about this recipe. As suggested by other reviewers, I often increase the flour, plus I tend to use unsalted butter since salted butter and the recommended amount of salt tends to be a bit too salty for my personal taste. I also add about 1/2 cup more oats to keep them from going flat.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
These are the best pancakes I've ever had and sooo easy to make! I usually substitute margarine for the shortening, and they still turn out great.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
Wonderful taste and easy to make! If you like your brownies cake-like, use 2 eggs as recommended. I used 1 since I prefer my brownies fudgier. If you want them to look more like the store bought mix brownies, use the butter to vegetable oil substitution recommended on this site.
