The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Yummy! I didn't add the salt because the taste was perfect. I want to try the cilantro sometime when my husband isn't so picky. Thanks for the recipe.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
These were tasty but the texture was too crumbly. I would like to know how to make a chewy version.

Fig and Date Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
I thought this bread was excellent! Thank you for this recipe! I found it no trouble at all to chop the figs and dates myself. Piting a date is extremely easy. Plus doing these things yourself makes the bread much more flavorful. It'd the perfect bread for the upcoming holiday season.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2007
Absolutely delicious! I halfed the recipe, made my own crust using peanut butter oreos and butter. I used extra creamy cool whip. I also broke up about six peanut butter cups for the top. Will definitely be making again and again!

Cajun Style Blackened Snapper

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2007
This was probably the best way I've prepared fish. i used talipia instead of snapper and I do also recommend a well ventilated area , the spices can make breathing a difficulty when the kitchen is smoking from searing the fish.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
I thought this was incredible! I did make a few adjustments to the original recipe. I used a three pound rump roast, only two packages (.67 oz each) of italian dressing mix and I put the entire jar and juices of the pepperoncini in with the roast from the get go. I cooked it on high in the crockpot for 4 hours and then on low for 4-5 hours. The meat just fell apart! It was absolutley incredible! I used french bread instead of buns, which I buttered and placed in a pan to brown. I put some juice into a small bowl to dip the sandwich in. Thank you for the recipe!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
This was an excellent recipe. I used cherry chip cake mix and cream cheese frosting. I used a small ice cream scoop to form the balls and placed them on a cookie sheet, covered them and put them in the freezer for about an hour. Then I rolled them in my hands to prevent crumbling when dipped in the chocolate. They tasted like cherry cordials. Yummy!

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I thought this was yummy. I love onions but I thin he next time I make this I won't be adding them. Somehow they clash with the texture and sweetness of the bread.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
This is the recipe I used to make my first batch of peanut brittle and I took the suggestion of warming the pan beforehand which helped it spread easier. It spread nice and thin, which I find more enjoyable to eat, and probably the best brittle I have had!

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
This is a wonderfully, buttery, sinfully good syrup! The first time I made it I cooked it a bit too long and over too high of heat. But each time since I have had nothing but delicious syrup. It is so very simple! It goes wonderful with buttermilk pancakes. No need to butter your pancakes before pouring this syrup!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
This is an excellent way to save money and use the beans sitting in the cupboard. These are tastier than what comes out of the can and much healthier.

Chinese Restaurant Almond Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
I made these this afternoon. I used my stand mixer to mix the dough, which definitely was a must. I used half lard, half unsalted butter because I didn't have enough lard. I then rolled them into balls and rolled them in a spiced sugar mixture. I used the bottom of a drinking glass to flatten them. These are wonderful!
