Lime-Glazed Pork Chops

So I am not a pork chop fan but this recipe was wonderful! We made a few changes though, we marinated the pork chops with fresh lime juice. For the sauce, double the marmalade, only use 1/2 to 3/4 a jalapeno and half the amount of ginger. Spoon sauce on both sides after grilled and grill for another minute for more flavor. Also the thinner the pork chops, the better they turned out. Will definitely be making this again.

Grilled Chicken Adobo

This recipe was good, but not something that I would want to add to my menu rotation.We were worried that it would be a little salty so we added half a cup more water and it helped a lot.

Best Spinach Dip Ever

I am making this recipe as part of our thanksgiving get together and it is so good, I can't stop eating it! I mad a few changes, I hate water chestnuts so I left that out, I used the whole box of spinach. make sure to get out as much water as possible! I also only used 1/2 cup of light mayo. I started out using less to see if it would taste alright and then was gone add more if it needed it but it didn't, a half cup mayo was just the right amount. The leek soup mix really made the flavors come together! Can't wait for everyone to try this!

Caribbean Chicken Salad

Great recipe! I love the dressing and will definitely be using it on my salads more often. The only thing we changed was we didnt use the pineapple since it was sweet enough on its own. Can't wait to make this again!

Eggplant and Pepper Parmesan Sandwiches

I thought this recipe was terrible. I tried it because of all the great reviews but the tapenade and goat cheese had a strong taste and didnt compliment each other. I made another sandwich with eggplant, red peppers, lemon cilatro hummus and it tasted so much better. I will not make this recipe again.

Anniversary Chicken I

I liked this dish but thought it needed a few changes. Definitely make sure you use a thicker sauce or you wont have much flavor to your chicken. I used homemade ranch, much better then store bought. Also used a couple strips of real bacon instead of bacon bits. next time I think I will wrap the bacon around the chicken since that was my favorite part.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Yummmm! We made this last night and loved it! The only thing we changed was we added a little flour (wheat flour would work just as well) to the outside of the patties so that everything held together better. Try putting pickles on your burger, the flavor blends together really well.

Shepherd's Pie VI

I loved this recipe but it needed quite a few changes. I read suggestions on how to improve the recipe and this is what I came up with. I used a brown gravy packet and a cup of water instead of the broth, added an extra 1/2 lb. ground beef because there was way more potatoes than meat. Added an extra tbsp. of ketchup. The potatoes needed some garlic powder, salt and pepper. After the changes it tasted like shepherds pie from a local pub.

Buffalo Chicken Chili

So I thought this chili recipe was great. Although I had hoped it would taste more like buffalo chicken. I made this a second time, playing with the ingredients a little. I used regular chicken breasts and cut them into small pieces. Instead of using olive oil i used cooking spray and only 1 tbsp. butter. I then reduced the amount of cumin and chili powder so that it would not overpower the buffalo taste. Tasted more like what i was expecting from the title. If it is still a little too spicy, add a little bit of ranch to cool it down.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

I love this recipe, it was a litle greasy so I am thinking about baking it next time. The sauce was nice and tangy and even though there was a large amount of butter, i wouldnt change it at all!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This was an okay recipe exactly as written. At the end we added a few dashes of tabasco and extra cheese for more flavor. Turned out much better! Place in a bread bowl for looks.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CAKE! I have made this cake three times in the last month and it is always a hit. I would suggest lowering the temperature and cooking for a little bit longer so that the outside isn't crunchy. I topped with the satiny chocolate glaze from this site and decorated the outside and center with chocolate covered strawberries.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

This is so yummy! We used light mayo because that's all we had, and then added about 1/4 cup more cheese. The dill and almonds compliment the dish well. The dough wasn't completely done so I would suggest cooking it for a little bit longer at a slightly lower temp. I will make this again without a doubt!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

I added a couple extra cloves of garlic and left out the bay leaf on accident but it tasted great. The vinegar taste is strong so if your not a huge fan of vinegar I would reduce the amount slightly. I will make this again with the bay leaf and still some extra garlic.

Caribbean Chicken

I thought this dish tasted great. It was very moist and had just the right amount of kick. It really depends on what mango hot sauce you can find. I ended up getting a mango ginger with habanero sauce. We used slightly less salt and instead of parchment paper we used aluminum foil. The nectarine didn't have much of a part in the dish and I will probably try using mangos next time. Overall we really enjoyed this dish and will make it again.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This is the first chicken pot pie I have ever made and it turned out perfect! I ran out of regular flour making the pie crust so I ended up using wheat flour. It turned out really nicely and is slightly healthier. Great recipe I will definitely be making this a regular item on our menu!
