When you make the thumbprints, keep a small bowl of icing sugar nearby so you can dip your thumbprint tool into it between each press. That way, the thumbprint tool won't stick and ruin the shape of the cookie as you struggle to remove it! ^^ Also, I put my jam in a zip top bag and snip a tiny hole to make the jam filing easier! I make these cookies every Christmas, so simple and yummy!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Unbelievably moist and delicious! Amazing! The original recipe is great, but when I baked this bread the second time, I did the following changes: -I added 1 more tsp of cinnamon because I found the batter a little bland. -I used 3 cups of zucchini - I used half whole wheat and half white flour, no one knew! -I used half brown sugar and half white sugar for a richer taste YUM!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
Since I'm a big cheese fan, I added marbled cheddar instead of processed cheese and it worked out great! I also removed about a cup and a half, blended it, and put it back in. It gave the soup a nice green colour but left some big chucks of broccoli. Great recipe!

Semmelknoedel (Bread Dumplings)

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
Love this recipe! For a heartier version, I add about 3 heaping tablespoons of whatever leftover meat I have pre-cooked in the fridge (chicken, bacon, ham, beef, pork...) Just make sure not to add too much or the bread balls can fall apart. YUM!
