Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
These were great and stayed soft for days after making them. I'm surprised they lasted that long though! I took another reviewer's advice and added baking powder and more vanilla. I used walnuts but will try pecans next time I make them.

Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
Mmmm mmmmm delicious! The only change I made was using brown sugar instead of white as others had suggested. I'll definitely be making this one again, thanks for the recipe.

Beef Parmesan with Garlic Angel Hair Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
My husband and I thought this was great. I took other reviewers' suggestions and seasoned the cubed steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder before the bread crumbs/cheese mixture. I didn't have to use nearly as much of the bread crumb/cheese mixture as the recipe called for so next time I'll cut that in half just so I don't waste it.

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Delicious! I made this in the slow cooker for a party, and it turned out great. I used Gold Star chili and Frank's Red Hot Sauce.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This was very easy to make and tastes delicious! I don't have a candy thermometer so just judged by the color as other reviewers suggested; when it was slightly darker than peanut butter. I didn't stir constantly but stirred more often than not. I'm taking what I haven't eaten into my co-workers tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll eat it all! Thanks for the recipe.

Mom's Sweet Potato Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I don't think I've ever tasted a better sweet potato recipe than this one! I'll be making this one for years to come. It was pretty sweet, though, so next time I will probably cut down the sugar to 1/2-2/3 cup. Thanks for the recipe!

Pork Tenderloin in Bourbon

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
This was really good. I marinated the pork for about 18 hours, used only 3 tbsp bourbon though. I also took other reviewers' advice and made a gravy from the left over marinade, which was great on top of the pork and garlic red potatoes I served with it, also from this site. Thanks for the recipe!

Garlic Red Potatoes

This recipe is great, I've made it quite a few times and didn't change anything.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
This was really good and I got a lot of compliments when I served this at a party. The only things I did differently were that I used the juice of half of a small lime and added a few dashes of garlic salt. It definitely needs to be refrigerated a few hours before serving though to let all the flavors mix. Thanks for the recipe.

Cheese Ravioli with Three Pepper Topping

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
My husband and I thought this was excellent. The only thing I added based on other reviews was a couple of cloves of garlic to the onion/pepper mixture, parmesan cheese, and I increased the red pepper flakes to about double what the recipe called for. Thanks for the recipe, I will definitely make this one again.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
This was really good. The only thing I did differently was add some Frank's Red Hot sauce to it for a little more spice, about a tablespoon or so. Thanks for the recipe.

Spicy Beef Curry Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
This was okay, but not spicy enough for my husband and my taste. I cooked everything in the crockpot as suggested, and the next day I reheated it on the stovetop and added curry paste for some more flavor. I will make it again but next time I'll add at least a teaspoon of the curry paste at the start and add a lot more onion.

Toasted Coconut, Pecan, and Caramel Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
This pie turned out great! I used a graham cracker crust and froze the pies after taking some other reviewers suggestions. I plan to use this recipe in a bake-off next month at work.

Sugar Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
I made this for a family gathering, and everyone loved it. I think next time I will add an extra 1/8-1/4 c sugar though, not quite sweet enough for my taste, but it was still great!

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
This was absolutely delicious! I cut the recipe in half to try it out for my husband and me before serving at an upcoming party. I omitted the water chestnuts and added green onions. I don't have a deep fryer so I just fried on the stove top in about 3 c of oil, and they turned out great. Thanks!
